"This is the second time the Two Sisters have done the deep clean of my house (I hire them every 2nd months. Two things I like - they move the furniture away from the walls to clean and I can tell them my pet peeves (wet wipe not dust baseboards, door handles and top or outlets) and they are happy to accommodate. They are very quiet which is great as I work from home. I can also be out of the house and just leave the door open and feel perfectly comfortable when they are here cleaning."

"Rick and Cody, came out and spent two days pressure washing my house, porch, back deck and cleaning all the windows & screens. They did an amazing job. The house looks so fresh like it was repainted. They were kind and easy to work with. Weâ ll definitely be having them back."

"I had my sectional couch, ottoman, and living room area rug cleaned, and the results were excellent. The technician was on time, professional, and explained everything clearly. All the furniture looks refreshed, and the rug looks way better than before. I’m very satisfied and would definitely use them again."

"The idea was a Christmas gift last Dec. of a whole house cleaning, since we've reached an age that more things are not needed. I never called R and R, because I couldn't clean my house good enough to have it cleaned. Sound familiar? Then knee surgery really put me out of commission, so my conscience was appeased and I called. A team of 4 put our house to rights. Wow! They were so nice, thorough and fast. And we will have them back on a more regular basis until I'm fully functioning."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, avoid handwashing dishes whenever possible—especially if you have a full sink. Using a dishwasher saves water and better sanitizes your dishes. However, if you have delicate dishwear, high-end glassware, or fragile plastics, you should opt to handwash it to avoid cracks, chips, or warping from the high heat of a dishwasher.

You’ll often find mildew and soap scum in the same place, but they are very different substances. Mildew is a substance composed of living fungi, whereas soap scum is primarily an accumulation of mineral deposits. Mildew needs chronic moisture to thrive, while soap scum is unaffected by damp conditions (though it is a residue left behind by the water).

It's not a great idea to clean gas stove grates in the dishwasher. Most iron grates, even with a protective coating, can corrode when exposed to the heavy washing process. Instead, soak your stove grates in gentle soapy water for up to 30 minutes, and remove any grease and grime by hand to be safe.

Steam mopping effectively cleans and sanitizes floors to kill germs and remove ingrained grease and grime. However, vacuuming or sweeping the flooring first is always a good idea. This removes the larger dust and debris particles that can end up being pushed around the floor by a non-suctioning steam cleaner.

You can remove stubborn stains from your toilet by scrubbing with a store-bought cleaner appropriate for the toilet’s material. If you’re looking for a homemade solution, you can also use vinegar and baking soda—just pour 2 cups of white vinegar around the edges of your toilet. Once the bowl is wet with vinegar, sprinkle 3 tablespoons of baking soda, concentrating on the stains. Scrub the bowl with a toilet brush and flush to clean the mixture.

Just a note: While combining baking soda and vinegar is OK, never mix that solution with any other cleaners.
