"We had a couple of wing-back chairs that belonged to my grandmother. They were upholstered in an ugly lime green and the wood on the arms and legs had aged badly. A1 reupholstered and refinished them and they are now beautiful. The pick up and delivery was very convenient, and the proprietors were very nice. The job was not cheap but the product was very much worth the price! Now we have two beautiful chairs that bring wonderful memories of my grandmother. Thank you A1 Upholstery! "I called two auto detailers, and each thought I would need to have the paint compounded based on my description, but would not discuss prices without seeing the car. Neither one showed up on the promised date, didn't call to reschedule, and didn't return my calls or texts. Then I found and called Lee. Although I live outside his normal business range for car detailing, he was willing to hear my story and conclusions. We then discussed two scenarios: (1) hand wash, clay bar and hand wax vs (2) hand wash, sap removal, compounding, and hand wax. He gave me a cost breakdown for each scenario and we agreed on a max price for each. With the final price to be negotiated within that range after he saw the car, he arrived two days later. He determined that compounding would be required and his explanation was in agreement with my research. I was very happy that I would not have to repaint the car. We settled on a price $30 below the max quote. He then hand washed the car, goo-be-goned, scraped and even pressure washed the front and back windows (yes, it was that bad!), compounded the entire car (removing some very old scratches in the process), hand waxed, cleaned the rims, dressed the tires, and cleaned the door jams. And not only is my car returned to its pre-magnolia state, it looks 5 years younger! Beautiful, gleaming and shinning, it now looks as good on the outside as it is mechanically sound and clean on the inside. And I can stop kicking myself for parking under that cursed magnolia. Lee really impressed me with his hard work, friendliness, and honesty. He literally went quite a few miles out of his way to erase my mistake. He definitely made my "go to" list of can-do professionals, and I highly recommend him."
