Customers say: True professional

"WOW! Exceptional work and so professional. I called about 20 different granite places because we needed to match our countertop granite to extend our bar height countertop to create a bar seating area. I found out really quickly that for such a small job no one can be bothered - except John. He found an excellent match and fabricated the slab to create a beautiful seating area. He was extremely fast to respond. From first call to install I don't think 2 weeks passed. Truly amazing. If anyone needs granite I will be recommending John and his company hands down."

He was on time, efficient, professional, considerate of my belongings and cleaned up whatever mess he made. I would recommend him in a heartbeat for any countertop work that you might need."

"Daniel is very professional and works neat. No cleanup is needed when he leaves. I highly recommend and would hire again. I had under mount sink drop as clips broke off from builder install (Lennar). There was minimal adhesive used. Daniel did the complete job."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

The short answer is yes. A stone-safe, pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth are all you need to clean and maintain terrazzo. Harsh cleaners aren’t necessary. You can also apply stone polish every few months to refresh your terrazzo.

It’s recommended that you clean your terrazzo countertops daily to remove dust before it begins to build up. Dust and other debris can cause small scratches over time. If you spill something, be sure to clean it up immediately before stains set in.

Yes, you can put hot pots on concrete countertops, but only if they’ve been properly sealed. While the concrete itself is heat-resistant, the sealant may not be, meaning heat may discolor the sealant, so use caution.

Yes, you can remove a countertop without breaking it. It is possible to save your countertop to use in your new kitchen, donate it, or sell it! You’ll just need to work carefully as you follow the removal steps above. If you’re not sure you can get the job done without causing a little damage, call in a pro for peace of mind.

Yes, you can install a farmhouse sink on an existing countertop—but there are some caveats. You’ll need to precisely measure. It’s best to choose a sink that’s the same dimensions as your existing sink, since your contractor won’t have to cut the countertop. Otherwise, pay close attention to the depth of your counter (the front to back measurement). You don’t want to install something that’s so big it sticks out beyond your countertop and cabinetry.

No, baking soda does not scratch glass cooktops making it a great option for cleaning them. It is abrasive enough to effectively clean grime and burn marks without leaving unwanted scratches. When using baking soda to clean a glass cooktop, make sure to use a soft rag to scrub it to avoid any other materials that could scratch your glass cooktop.
