"I recently hired Dr Home to paint my 2nd floor, remove all the carpet and install hybrid laminate flooring including the stairs. I highly recommend Dr Home!! We are very happy with the results. Miguel was responsive throughout the whole project. I got multiple quotes and his prices were by far the best. His crew was on time, friendly and respectful. The work was completed on time and we are very happy with the results. They were also able to accommodate extra items that we needed done while they were here. I would highly recommend Dr Home and will use them again for future projects."

"Simeon did an unbelievable job installing our new kitchen cabinets. We have an older home so he had to work with uneven floors, walls, and a couple more obstacles . Despite all the issues, the finished product looks absolutely perfect. His attention to detail is unmatched and it really shows in the finished product. I cannot recommend him enough!"
Provided conditions are ideal, staining an entire deck should take as little as a couple of hours and up to a couple of days to apply and cure. Additional procedures, like sealing a deck or using additional treatments, may extend the project by a few additional days.
Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.
The opposite is actually true: Wood stains tend to appear lighter when they’re fully dry. However, stains may darken as they weather and oxidize with age. Stains might also darken on surfaces left in direct sunlight, as UV rays can break down pigment particles and cause them to darken over time.
It's okay to walk on a newly painted deck after about four to six hours as long as the weather has been dry. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before you place any outdoor furniture or grills on a freshly painted deck, though.
The general consensus is that two coats of stain are required and since the cedar is siding, a third coat of sealant is always a good idea. This helps protect the wood and stain, so you won’t need to resand and restain for at least a decade. Each stain after the first will darken the wood, so be aware of that when choosing a colored stain.

The best time to stain a deck is when it’s dry but not too sunny. How often you restain a deck depends on climate and wood type, but every two to three years is normal.
