Additional DBAs - Hampton Bay Fan & Lighting Co, Home Depot Tool Center 116, The At-Home Services Inc, The Hampton Bay Fan & Lighting Co. See BBB for additional DBAs. Store number - 234.

"Horrible experience they failed us on every level!!! Ordered wrong windows multiple times, 3 failed installs, unprofessional installers, extremely poor communication, failure to make it right and left our home in disarray. Seven week job turned into seven months. I’m still in shock at just how poorly they handled the job. Extremely frustrated and feel like we were violated. Regret hiring them and we now know many others have had the same bad experiences as us. Read the negative reviews. I wish I had we never would have used them. Total failure."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Plumbers start by walking around the property to see if they notice any signs or sounds of a gas leak. They can also use tools like electronic gas detectors and infrared cameras to find the source of leaks. There are also detectors that use laser, thermal, and multi-wavelength imaging. All these devices allow a plumber to scan your home and pinpoint the exact location of a leak.

In some cases, conversion kits are available, but not all boilers are compatible. Conversion may require significant modifications and should only be performed by a qualified professional. Before making a decision, compare conversion costs to the cost of a complete replacement to determine the most cost-effective and reliable option for your home.

Call 811 to locate and mark the gas lines at least three days before digging. In many areas, you can dig within 18 inches of the lines, though in some locations, the distance may be further. Check local regulations, as you may need a utility company representative onsite when digging. Document your calls to 811 and precautions taken to avoid gas lines. A homeowner can be held liable for hitting a gas line in some cases, but contacting the proper authorities and following all guidelines can offer protection.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.
