Small jobs welcome

"When I purchased my home the care and feeding of the lawn was taken the responsibility of an independent lawn person. That person did a terrible job and as a result the lawn was completely taken over by weeds and bugs. Sean was hired and now I have the best lawn on the block. He has been taking care of things for about 3 years. Several of my neighbors have hired him and now I have competition. I am very pleased with this service and recommend it to others .... but not on my block !!! Too much competition"

"Green Grass 3 landscaping was fantastic to work with. They arrived right on time and completed the project with incredible speed. The turnaround time was immediate, yet nothing was rushed and everything looks perfect. Cesar and his crew are professional, reliable, and efficient. I highly recommend and will definitely use them for future home projects."

"Alex and his team did a fabulous job for me. I hired him for trimming trees and lawn service, however, when I mentioned that I needed my roof cleaned, Alex told me that he does that too. What a great job he did on everything. My trees and shrubs are perfectly manicured, my lawn looks like a picture in a book and my roof has never looked this clean. In fact, he went beyond the call of duty and did things that I didn't even ask him to do, and he took his time to do things right. I will be recommending A & K Lawn Care to all my neighbors and to anyone I come in contact with that asks if I know a good lawn or tree trimming company. Alex is a true professional!"

They installed with total respect of my home and the surroundings. His team carefully put everything in discreet yet functional positions. They earned my 110% approval and would highly recommend! Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

One of the best ways to save money on lawn care is to sign up for an annual contract for ongoing service rather than paying for one-off or as-needed services. If you guarantee a landscaping company ongoing work, they’re more likely to give you a break on the cost. Plus, ongoing services will keep your property in tip-top shape and help avoid the high cost of playing catch up on an overgrown lawn. You can also save money by sticking to the basics and foregoing add-on services like weeding and pest treatments.

It is not recommended to mow wet grass, including grass with morning dew. Mowing when wet can damage your lawn, your mower, and potentially cause injury. Wet grass blades are more likely to be torn rather than cut cleanly, which can lead to brown tips and increase the risk of fungal diseases. Additionally, wet clippings can clump together, smothering the grass underneath, and can clog your mower. For best results, wait until the grass is dry to the touch, which is often about two hours after morning dew has evaporated. Regular lawn mower maintenance is also important for a clean cut.

You can thicken new grass by using fertilizer, watering it 1 to 1½ inches per week, mowing when it is at an optimal height, and preventing weeds. You should fertilize your grass while you plant the grass seed, or soon afterward. Use an herbicide to prevent weeds or spot spray with herbicide to kill existing weeds.

Buffalo grass spreads through both underground roots and above-ground stolons. The widespread root and stolon system makes up for this grass’s overall lack of density. It’s a hearty grass, so it spreads on its own slowly, especially considering that most of the male (no staminate) varieties of grass are sterile. You may think about over-maintaining your lawn to encourage growth, but this would have the opposite effect.

Water your yard a little more deeply after a drought for about two weeks (while still avoiding overwatering). Continue to water in the early morning hours before 10 a.m. You'll also want to invest in some high-quality fertilizer to get more nutrients to your roots and help them grow back stronger and quicker. Look up your grass and soil type, or do a soil test, to see what type of fertilizer you need.
