"Requested quote and Gus responded same day to set up appointment. Arrived on time to estimate cost. Completed estimate while on site, explained all options, what was covered, left list of referrals. We signed contract but were undecided between two different roof tiles so Gus brought actual tiles over to our house and put up on roof so we could see both side by side. Crew arrived exactly on time, protected all shrubs and grass, Roof was completed in one day and area completely cleaned. Small crew returned next morning to recheck clean up. Wind mitigation report was provided at no additonal cost. Have had no issues with roof since installation. Highly recommend this company."

"It started out not so good because they didn't come when they said they would. I called him, and he had me down for exterior painting, when I wanted interior. He told me he would send some guys over, and they showed up around noon. When they finally got there they did an excellent job! They were really good!"

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"

"This job was done in 2 days and that was also a pleasant surprise. We love the new roof and we have had it for about one year. We got DS Killian Roof & General Contractors Inc number from a neighbor who used them and had rave reviews. Looked on Angie's List and saw the same. As I stated above, you would never have known a work crew was here because they cleaned up and that is not something that I find to be typical. It is a nice detail and one I appreciate having experienced work crews that think nothing of throwing cigarette butts, coffee cups and the like in my yard.
HUGE SIDE BENEFIT! We did not expect that the three skylights that DS Killian would replace would allow us to relax, in peace, in our family room/kitchen area. We had the large bubble kind that were made from plastic or plexi-glass. The new skylights are SO silent we hardly hear the rain. Previously, when it rained and stormed, which is frequently, we couldn't even hear one another in those rooms which are quite large, much less enjoy watching TV or listening to music. I was also shocked by the price point and kicking myself that we didn't replace those sooner! IF you get a new roof and have skylights - GET THEM REPLACED!!! You won't regret it!!!
Dave is easy to communicate with, but the only hiccup we had was in getting the warranty. We did get it, it just took some time. I believe he was a tad understaffed at the time, but I think that issue has been resolved. He took care of it and we are all set. I have no complaints and no reservations about recommending DS Killian to friends and family."

"The owner carey came out and cleaned my interior and exterior windows. The quality and attention to detail was simply amazing. Every little thing he paid attention to. My windows and screens never looked so good. The gutters around the back of my home were so dirty water wouldn't flow through, care with ashtons professional services took care of it. Now I don't have to worry any longer. I will definitely continue to use them."
