"We were taken advantage of from a Jacksonville company when we needed help. DO NOT use this company for any plumbing, cooling or heating needs even if it’s an emergency. Please read the following: We called FENWICK for assistance with our HVAC. During a recent cold snap our HVAC system froze and required immediate attention. A technician arrived and said he couldn’t work on the system until it was defrosted. If it wasn’t frosted that night, he wasn’t sure when he or any other associate could return. He said it would cost $188.00 to defrost the system. For over an hour the associate and I, in freezing temperatures, late in the evening, using hot water from our bathroom tub and our buckets, defrosted the unit. He diagnosed the problem and said we needed a Heat Pump Defroster Sensor. (part number: HH18HA279). The part had to be ordered and would take 5 to 7 days and the part would cost $441.00. Installation could take another 5 to 7 days. FENWICK charged us $89.00 for the service visit and $188.00 to defrost the unit. The part was installed about a week later. While waiting for the part I went to their web site and found that 3 coupons were available but were not offered. We asked the technician why he didn’t offer the coupons to which he replied “that’s up to you”. I took a photo of the part number and found that the part was sold by FACTORY AUTHORIZED PARTS. I found the part on-line for $31.00 and that it was available from Amazon and could be delivered free the next day. The final cost was $490.00 for the installation of a $31.00 part. After questioning the cost, FENWICK offered to waive the $89.00 service fee and offered to honor the coupons we found on-line from their web site. Our final cost was $530.00 ($342.00 plus $188.00) for the service call. Caveat Emptor!"

"If you want to have an EV charging station installed in your home you cannot go wrong with American Electric. We where put on the install schedule 2 hours after sending in the required photos and the charger installed within 24 hours later. Avery and Landen arrived on time and finished in 1 hour. The station looks like it has always been there with no hint on an recent construction. Will use them in the future if the need arises."

"Be aware of this ripoff company. A technician came to my house to do the maintenance of my air condition which I had purchased from Air Advance 6 years ago. Same name but a different company. Apparently the fee was going to be $49. The kid was accompanied by a sales person who was looking for a chance to sell me a new AC. It seems to be their business style and was a complete set up. They told me that the maintenance couldn't be done because the capacitor and the motor were broken. Apparently the broken piece was covered under the warranty by Daikin but the labor was not. At the end they never did the maintenance but charged me $500 for a 10 minutes job. They did not install the original capacitor from Daikin as I was being told but a Chinese no name brand product which costs $11 on Amazon. I have the proof. I forgot to mention that the technician arrived drunk. With his boozy breath he also told me the motor was spinning the wrong direction (!) and also needed to be replaced which would add another cost of $800. He said he would order it the next day. When I called the office they were unaware of a broken motor. Of course the manager never called me back. This company is dishonest and unserious. The $49 maintenance fee is just the bait to force you into paying for excessive labor."

"Thankful for the annual maintenance and UV bulb replacement that was recently performed by Mr. Percival (didn't get last name). This was year one maintenance, after last years' new HVAC installation. The UV light replacement was not unexpected as it was the old bulb from the prior HVAC system (indicative of good cost consciousness for the consumer). The technician Percival was well-equipped with the latest tools and equipment, and was informative, presentable, courteous, and efficient. We've had decades of experience as a customer of Tropic Aire and are grateful for the knowledge and professionalism of the field and office staff. Thank you for a great install last year, and for keeping our system operating at its best every year!"

"This is a terrible company. Nobody answers the phone or returns phone calls. My generator was installed after long delays. The enclosure they built does not drain well. The door for the enclosure was never installed. I have called many times and left messages. They wanted me to sign a service contract. Never! I will look for a reputable service company. I have contacted the Generac main office to file complaints."
