"There are good reasons that they have a "D" rating with BBB. The inspector was not qualified and actually even fabricated false findings. They don't realize that they do a dis-service to buyers and sellers alike. I would not hire them to inspect a dog house."

"Beware! this company is a scammer. They said they could perform the repairs in 3-4 days. After 27 calls and 3 weeks of pushing, I received my "repaired" computer back. The computer did not work and was a pile of junk. Andrew said he found the problem but was waiting for a part, then the part was overnight delayed 4 days, then it was not done, then, then , and more excuses. He wanted to charge my credit card before work was complete. I said that once he had the repairs done, and tested, I would pay. Then he raised the price, and told me that it would be "Mostly" repaired. And that I should expect a check engine light, but it will run fine. I told him that I would pay only the original quoted price. He accepted and sent me my auto PCM. When it did not run, I had it checked out and found that none of the "Repairs" were performed. I have left several voice mails, and emails requesting him to contact me to make this right, but have not heard from him. This guy is a straight scammer. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and will give you all the details. The more people know about this company, then hopefully less people will be taken advantage of. Home Warranties questions, answered by experts

Most home warranties transfer with ownership, but it depends on the home warranty provider. Some companies automatically transfer the coverage from the seller to the buyer; some require additional paperwork to complete the transfer, and others may not allow a transfer at all. Check the policy or sample contract or ask your home warranty provider to confirm before selling.

Most home warranty companies will accept either monthly payments throughout your contract term or a one-time payment upfront that covers all monthly payments for the entire contract. In most cases, paying for the home warranty contract in full up front will mean paying less in the long run, as most providers offer a discount for full-contract payments. Keep in mind that, in either case, you’ll still likely have some costs throughout the life of your coverage, like paying service fees for each service call you make and paying repair and replacement costs after you reach your coverage limits.

A home warranty is like a protection plan for things that insurance wouldn’t normally cover. You pay a monthly or annual fee to maintain coverage, and your home warranty provider will cover the cost of repair or replacement for covered items if something breaks down. The idea of a home warranty is that it provides you with peace of mind that you won’t have unexpected appliance or home system repair costs. They can also make your home more valuable to buyers, as they help ensure they won’t face high repair costs after putting a large down payment on a house.

Many windows carry warranties from the manufacturer or installer that may cover the cost of repairs for a fixed amount of time. When installing or replacing windows, ask about any applicable warranties, what kinds of damage and repair they may cover, and what the procedure is for making a warranty claim.

It’s easy to confuse home warranties with homeowners insurance, but they aren’t the same thing. The key difference is that warranties protect your appliances and systems, but insurance guards your house against disasters like fires and storms. Keep in mind that warranties may not cover repairs if the issue was caused by a DIY job gone wrong.
