"We have a home insurance warranty and MekTek Mechanical was the company hired to do the job. They tested the system and they were not able to identify where the leak was. The technician supposedly identified the leak to a valve in the condenser so the condenser was replaced with a new one. I paid out of pocket $1,180 (including $350 they overcharged for a concrete slab that they did not provide, it was already there) not covered by the home warranty company. The problem persisted, so the technician pinpointed to the evaporator, which was then replaced, another $450 out of pocket. The problem continued so the company kept coming trying to find the problem which never happened. The last day, while checking the system trying to identify where the leak could be coming from, the technician told us, my wife and I, that he was fed up with the problem and that he was hoping for the day when he didn't have to come back to our house and see our faces. Nasty and totally out of order. I told him he had to leave and called his supervisor to let him know about the incident. I have not received a call back from him. So, Condenser and Evaporator replaced unnecessarily. At this time, there is another local reputable AC company helping us get the problem resolved."
