"Following reviews in Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) we settled on Alpha Foundations and are thrilled that we did. Extremely pleased with the excellent professional and prompt customer service. . Positive experience started when a real person answered the phone and set up appointment. The representative, Alex, was prompt, maintained great telephone communication, provided an excellent assessment and plan for the foundation support! Alex showed us a video of the process which was very helpful. Then Alex came back a second time when a different contractor noticed a small settling issue in floor. I cannot say enough about the perfect customer service! Today Luke, Logan, and Flint promptly came in with beautiful, clean equipment and more excellent customer service! They started about 8 and were done about noon. They left the area better than it was when they arrived. The actual equipment and supports are impressive to see in person. It was a grand event! So impressive that neighbors came to sit, chat and watch! As scary as a failing foundation can beâ ¦ all of these men made this a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Alpha Foundations. Note the guarantee includes transferable warranty for life of home! Thank you Alex, Luke Logan, Flint and Alpha Foundations!"

"Thomas and Like arrived on time and met with me to verify the scope of work. I showed them one additional item that I would like to be completed and they were able to do that. They met with me a couple of times during the project to show me what had been done and what limitations they were looking at based on the condition of the concrete. They completed the work and showed me what they had accomplished. I was extremely satisfied with their work. Great team and good representatives of LRE Ground Services/Foundation Repair."
The homeowner's driveway had endured years of wear and tear, resulting in discoloration and numerous cracks across the surface. Additionally, the concrete slabs had become uneven due to the soil settling beneath them.
Due to soil settlement and poorly placed control joints, the customer's driveway had significant cracking. You can see that some stains have formed, indicating that the concrete lacks sealant protection.
The homeowner knew that their home's addition had experienced settlement damage when vertical cracks appeared on the exterior walls.
The homeowner became alarmed when they noticed stair-step cracking patterns emerging from the window frame in the exterior wall of the home.
Upon noticing significant cracks developing in the walls, the homeowner became concerned about their foundation's condition.

"Loved the guys that did the installation, the door leaked and they sent a man to fix it QUICKLY (reversed a shield)! Strange thing is the next time I saw them at a festival they said they don't do doors? What good is a shower without a door? It did come out BEAUTIFUL and has a lifetime warranty I HOPE we have cracks around the drain... :-("

"Have used them for years and always great. Especially their plumber Carlos Garcia for current job. Always a fast response time. Carlos knew exactly what was needed and installed the new faucet, fixed the leak and left the work site clean. T^his was not an emergency but still had Carlos there the next day."

"My toilets and sinks were not flushing or draining without backing up and Jacob snaked the pipes to ascertain the source of the problem. I’m thankful that he was able to help prevent what could have been a huge and very costly mess in my house. He also fixed a leaky toilet seal and replaced a faulty flush valve and flapper. He’s a very knowledgeable professional who was punctual, did excellent work, and kept me informed each step of the process. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone needing these type of services."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Basements with persistent moisture problems or flooding shouldn’t be finished until the moisture issues have been fixed. In addition, if your foundation is cracked, you have unmitigated radon levels, or you have asbestos or lead pipes, remediate the underlying problem before finishing your basement. Turning a basement into living space before fixing these issues can lead to serious health risks or structural damage.

French drains, sump pumps, and exterior waterproofing systems are common options. Choose one that best suits your property’s needs.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.

Preventing future basement flooding often involves installing sump pumps, improving drainage, sealing foundation cracks, and maintaining gutters. Costs vary, but preventive measures can range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the solutions chosen. Investing in prevention can save you money on future flooded basement cleanup costs and repairs.

The cost to install a new sump pump, including materials and professional labor, typically ranges from $1,000 to $3,000. The average cost is often cited between $1,200 and $2,500. Several factors influence the final price, including the type of pump, the complexity of the drainage system, and the installation location. For instance, installing a sump pump in a basement may cost around $1,200, while a more complex installation in a crawl space can cost an average of $3,900. It is important to hire a licensed professional for the installation to ensure quality work, which can impact the pump's lifespan and warranty. Note that these costs are for a new installation; replacing an existing unit is less expensive, typically costing $308 to $748.
