"Sunshine Irrigation solved our drainage problem by rerouting the water from the gutters into a dry well. This was immensely helpful with avoiding foundation damage to our home. Sunshine installed irrigation specific to watering my landscaping. The new irrigation system works far more efficiently using less water. Sunshine Irrigation arrived when promised, did a fabulous job, with a crew that was pleasant and knowledgeable. I reccomend to anyone in need of this service."

"I was truly impressed with Fran’s knowledge and keeping solutions to my problems at the forefront rather than selling me a useless system. It is the first time in 30 years of well water treatment I feel like I won’t be battling maintenance issues. Not the cheapest solution but certainly the right solution. However, that said, Fran did what he could to keep system components I already had to keep costs down."

"They unclogged the toilet and fixed the leak under the other toilet. They said that’s what was what cause the water stains on the French quarters and to call if the problem continues. The water stains are all around the bathroom and could not be caused by what they said. The problem started before the leak from the base of the toilet. Other then the leak would not cause a stain across the room. Then they told me it was expensive but that’s because 2 people came for the job."

"I had a very favorable experience with Duron. Honesty is important for me and the technician, John was very informative about the condition and life expectancy of my Jandy Heat pump for the pool. I would call Duron again, and I would insist on John being my repair man!"

"We're on well water and our well has lots of minerals. Although the system had a water softener installed, we were still experiencing huge issues with mineral deposits in toilets, shower fixtures and glass doors, and on all sinks and fixtures. Also, it had become difficult to remove water spots on kitchen ware, cups and glasses. We even stopped using the dishwasher due to too much hard water residue. Mr. Miles, from Aqua Water Treatment System, tested our well water and recommended a water softener replacement. He personally installed the new system and had it running in no time. The results are like day and night. No more water spots, the water is clear and there's lots more lather from the dishwashing liquid soap. Now, those results along are good reasons for recommending Aqua Water Treatment System, to other people. But also, Mr. Miles is a respectful and honest person . He tells you exactly what the issues are with your water system and provides a solution that work best for the customer. He cares for his customer, which is an attribute missing from many other companies. I highly recommend this company."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

No, hard water isn’t dangerous. The added calcium in hard water can contribute to good bone health. However, it can also cause dry skin and hair. If you have dry skin or hair, consider using a water-softening system to help minimize the minerals in your water. Plus, these systems can also add some sodium to your diet.

A water softener is a worthwhile investment if you live in an area with hard water. While hard water is safe to drink, it contains minerals like calcium and magnesium that can cause significant problems over time. These minerals build up inside pipes, reducing water flow and eventually corroding the plumbing system, which can lead to leaks and a shortened lifespan. Hard water also damages fixtures and appliances, potentially resulting in costly repairs. Additionally, it makes soaps and detergents less effective, meaning you'll use more product to get things clean. By installing a water softener, you can prevent these issues. The initial investment is often recouped through long-term savings, including lower energy bills, reduced appliance and plumbing maintenance, and spending less on soap and cleaning supplies. Other benefits include cleaner linens, dishes, and clothing, as well as softer water that is gentler on your skin and hair. In some areas, a water softener can also increase your home's value, making it a valuable long-term investment.

To get utilities set up on a property, you first have to contact the local department of planning to determine whether your property is able to connect to public utilities. From there, you can work with a structural engineer and/or a building contractor to design the layout of utility lines on the property. The pros will need this information as they begin securing building permits before they can start adding lines.

If your property isn’t able to connect to public utilities, you’ll need to consider working with pros to develop a comfortable off-grid home that will meet your needs.

Hard water stains can be a headache because they will reoccur as long as hard water flows through. Thankfully, hard water stains are not permanent. With the right tools and an appropriate cleaning routine, you can prevent hard water stains from ever building up. However, you might feel like you are stuck in a constant cleaning cycle. In that case, you may consider hiring a contractor to perform routine cleaning.

Routine maintenance involves recharging the resin bed with salt or potassium, cleaning components, and periodic inspection.
