"This review was way overdue but nevertheless it deserves a raving review. After interviewing 8 different companies, I decided to go with Breakthru Cabinetry. This is probably one of the best companies that I have ever worked with. Tracey, the owner, is very professional and delivered on all of his promises. Not only that, he was very punctual and was on time to every appointment. If he was running late, he would call to let me know. He was very organized and laid out a plan and time table for my project...and finished it as promised. As for the project itself, I had him lower my bar wall in the kitchen and replace the existing granite counter top with Quartz. He also replace the back splash, island granite and kitchen desk granite. It all turned out beautifully! I am so in love with my kitchen and all my friends and family raves about it every time they come over. I am so happy that I went with Breakthru Cabinetry and would definitely use them again."

"While I can't speak on the quality of their work, I can speak on one one of their hpeople. On Wednesday afternoon around 2:00 my family and I went into the North Lakeland Lowes. We were there for quite a long time trying to get some specific concrete masonry to repair the exterior my home. We had a cart of materials next to the pros desk and were checking out when no one was in line. We were asked if there was anything we still needed and when we mentioned that we still needed some masionary planks the staff at Lowes tried to help us find the last few things we needed. After a considerable amount of time trying to get these things done we finally decided to check out with what we had and be on our way. When that moment came up there was a misunderstanding. A man wearing a shirt with this business on it, clearly working in his professional duties, had a confrontation with my father-in-law. As a school teacher by profession what this man did was over the line. First as we approached the pros desk he said a really snide and uncalled for comment along the lines of "Hey old man, don't try to cut the line...the end is back there." Finding this man comments to be set up by him as clearly confrontational. He nothing and just stood where he was. Now, in this man's defense, he didn't know we had already tried to check out prior to him and the line's formation and my father-in-law could have made an effort to explain the situation; however, given the "old man" comment I don't blame my father-in-law for not trying to explain. After getting mad like a "child in a lunch line" and a resounding "f$%k you" from my father-in-law for the old man comments. The man started talking about how he was going to beat my father-in-law down in the parking lot. This man is half my age himself and I'm 42. My father-in-law is 67. He could have easily beat the snot out of either one of us. Here is where things really matter. I wouldn't be writing this at all considering the misunderstanding because i can see where the confusion took place; however, this same man from Southern Pros...once things had already descalated and all the ugly comments by this man were over, decided to wait for us in the parking lot. Thank God we saw him before leaving the store because This man had now removed his shirt, was bare chested, and ready to beat a man three times his age down. We had the Lowes managers escort us out to avoid that could have been bad situation. With all that said, I have an estate my dad left me that I might be repairing and needed help with soon. Based on this confrontation, I will never allow this company anywhere near my property, quality work or not, and will encourage anyone and everyone who will listen to STAY AWAY."

"So happy that my 3-year contract expired! Fire alarms randomly went off in the middle of the night several times, the security alarm also went off several times and NEVER received a call to check on our safety. Many of our neighbors have experienced the same issues, but unfortunately for them, they are still tied to the contract. I WOULD NOT TRUST THE SAFETY AND SECURITY OF YOUR FAMILY ON THIS COMPANY. Asked to cancel the contract multiple times due to my increased concerns of lack of security monitoring. Even when they can’t deliver on their responsibilities, they will not let you out of the contract. $58 a month wasted on this Company. Even when the contract expired, they still require you to sent email cancelling the contract...and pay a partial month? Another Company with an ounce of decency would’ve let you out of the contract after it expired without having to partial pay month after contract had already expired, particularly when they never reached out to check on your family when alarms went off. Sent email to Sharen Overstreet, still no acknowledgement or response of my request to cancel the contract."

"Gary Clark Review Renovations Home Center Review KAS Construction Review In June 2023, my wife and I hired Gary Clark, owner of Renovations Home Center and KAS Construction in Palm Harbor, for a renovation of our home. Unfortunately, the experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I feel compelled to share it to help others make informed decisions. (Yes, I did online research before commencing this project with Mr. Clark but there were no warning signs of what the future would entail.) Key Issues: High-Pressure Sales Tactics: Gary Clark pressured us into making a $28,208 commitment payment for kitchen cabinets, claiming we had to act immediately to secure a distant construction start date. He hinted at a possible earlier timeline, which later proved to be false. Design and Communication Problems: Gary Clark delegated much of the design work and communications to his young daughter, which led to repeated revisions and delays. The designs often didn’t align with what we requested, and I had to repeatedly remind him that this was my house. Adding to the delays, Gary Clark frequently left town for his new business in North Carolina. No Progress Made: By the time Gary Clark terminated the KAS Construction / Renovations Home Center contract via email after I expressed my frustration at the never-ending escalating costs, no tangible progress had been made. There were no permits, no architectural plans, no materials had been ordered, not even his “specialty” of cabinets had been ordered - nothing to show for the months we spent working with him. Broken Refund Promises: When Gary Clark sent a termination of services email stating “at this time I feel we should tear up your contract and I’ll refund your deposit.” Later he insisted on keeping “some” money for his “time,” which ultimately turned out that he wanted to keep nearly all the money. After weeks of negotiation, he agreed to a more reasonable settlement, but I paid to have a formal settlement letter drafted, he refused to sign and reneged once again. Unfulfilled Refund: As of January 2025, we have not received any portion of our $28,208, nor have we received any cabinets or work from Gary Clark, Renovations Home Center, or KAS Construction. Legal and Regulatory Actions: We reported the issue to various regulatory agencies in Pinellas County and the State of Florida. Gary Clark was subsequently investigated for fraud and other potential violations. The Florida State Attorney recently “determined that the facts and circumstances as presented do not warrant prosecution at this time.” Advice for Potential Customers: If you are considering hiring Gary Clark, Renovations Home Center, or KAS Construction, I strongly recommend submitting public records requests to relevant agencies. This will provide valuable insights into his track record and help you make an informed decision. Final Thoughts: This experience has been incredibly disappointing. We lost months of time, trust, and $28,208 without seeing any progress. Fortunately the statute of limitations is five years, so we have time to file a civil lawsuit, but that won’t erase the horrible experience we had with the construction industry."
