Hi, I'm Stephanie the owner of Mop Monsters cleaning! I just wanted to tell y'all a little bit about how I started my business!! I was working 50 hours a week for a company that I thought I would retire from but things happened and I lost my job. So I decided to start a cleaning business. I definitely know what it's like to work and try to maintain your house. And being tired and overwhelmed so I wanted to help people out! I love the reactions I get after cleaning my clients houses and how happy and thankful they are!! It makes me feel great and feel that it's my calling to be able to provide a service for them so they can relax and spend time with their families!! I take pride in my work and making my clients happy! I offer deep cleanings, weekly and biweekly cleanings and move in move out cleanings! I also offer free quotes and reasonable rates. I provide all the supplies also. If you're looking for a honest hard working house cleaner I'm your girl!! Just give me a call!

The travertine floors in my home were installed prior to me purchasing it and I soon realized that it was a poor installation job. Over the years holes in the tiles began to appear, the floor was looking old and worn and my wife was over the toe stubbing high tiles, referred to as lippage. My search for a professional to address the problems with my floors seemed like a dead end. I could not find anyone that I felt would or could do the job right. I was considering having the tile replaced (which I did not want to do) until I spotted the bright yellow Floor Guy truck and trailer at a business in Beverly Hills.

Ray (The Floor Guy) was very prompt and professional, thoroughly explaining everything that needed to be done and the process. He filled the holes with an epoxy, grinded down the high tiles to make the floor nice and flat and then polished it. He has all the right equipment and methods to keep the dust at a minimum and do a great job. He's very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. I am so thankful to have found him, he saved me a lot of headaches and money, replacing tile/travertine floors is not cheap. My wife and I are so pleased, actually thrilled with the job Ray did, we will definitely refer him anytime with the utmost confidence that he will do a great job!

The entire house (ex the garage) is travertine, which is approximately 2,300 square feet. The original cost of the job was $12,305, but after a 10% discount of $ 1,230 our total cost was $ 11,075. Happy with the quality job, happy with the price, thanks again to The Floor Guy!

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

The cost to polish floors averages around $200 per room, but you could pay anywhere from $100 to $300. Some factors that influence the total cost of floor polishing include the following:

  • Square footage of flooring

  • Type of floor

  • Whether you need floor repairs done beforehand

  • Whether or not you want professional floor cleaning done beforehand

Since square footage is the most significant cost factor, you might get a more accurate estimate by using the average cost per square foot for floor polishing, which is between $1.00 and $2.50.

To properly maintain and care for hardwood floors without damaging the finish, establish a regular cleaning routine. Sweep with a broom or microfiber dust mop daily, or vacuum weekly, to remove dirt and debris that can scratch the surface; be sure to clean in tight corners and under furniture. For a deeper clean, use a damp mop with a cleaner specifically designed for hardwood floors, but avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive water, as this can damage the wood. You can further protect your floors by placing mats at entryways to catch dirt and moisture and putting felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. For long-term care, refinish the floors as needed to keep them looking their best.

The answer to this question depends on how large the room is and how much experience you have stripping and waxing floors. It will take at least 24 hours to strip the floors, then you must allow time for drying, waxing, waiting for them to cure, and, finally, buffing them. Since you likely will not be working for the full 24 hours, it is safe to say that this is a two- or three-day job.

If your floor is still sticky after mopping, chances are you used too much or too little of the cleaning solution. Using too little won’t get all of the grime off, but using too much can leave its own residue. Refer to the cleaning solution’s instructions and dilute it as directed.

Like any other type of flooring, you will need to keep up with regular maintenance on your epoxy floors to keep them in the best shape possible; however, it is not like hardwood floors inside a house, which require special care and more consistent maintenance.

Just make sure you use the right cleaning tools and solutions. Avoid using harsh tools like scrub brushes or hard-bristled brooms. You should also skip cleaners that are highly acidic, including white vinegar.
