"One Stop Pavers did an outstanding job for us in demolishing and removing an old walkway, installing a new curved walkway and front entranceway of pavers, extending and doing finishing work on an existing patio. They were able to translate our vague ideas into just what we wanted. The team was highly professional. The work was excellent and we are quite pleased. We highly recommend One Stop Pavers and would happily rehire them for additional work."

Customers say: Quality work

"Julian was outstanding from the moment I requested quotes. He was the first one to send me a message and in few hours was at my house. The first impression was so good that we decided to not wait for additional quotes. Julian was always responsive, organized, honest, knowledgeable, punctual and kind. A true gentleman! His team of 4 people did the artificial grass inside our property and natural grass in front of the house. Everything done to perfection! His team displays the same right attitude as Julian. I would definitely recommend Julian!"

"We just passed the final inspection of Fergosa’s installation. Fergosa complied with an additional request from the Building inspector and got the final ok. In addition, they were prompt, on time and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Fergosa and it’s owner, Julio Fernandez with no hesitation whatsoever. It was truly a pleasure doing business with them."

"Did an excellent job. Problems we have been having is to find a competent company to reseal it annually. American Stamp Concrete does not have the time to do it. So if you can get a company that stands behind its product and reseals it, for a price, on annual basis, that would be better.
The folks American Concrete recommends did not do a good job."

Customers say: True professional

"Jesus was prompt and easily accessible. He gave me a consultation in 3 days. He made a repair appointment for the week after his consultation. He is a very pleasant man. He made an assessment as to the best way to repair my leaky french door at the first visit. He instilled my confidence by his professionalism regarding the task at hand. His work was precise, and when finished he cleaned up the mess made by the repair. Very thorough. Reasonable price for the type of repair."

Patios questions, answered by experts

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

If you’re trying to decide between a sunroom and a screened-in porch, the right choice will depend on your priorities. A screened-in porch costs only a fraction of the price of a sunroom, but in exchange, it has much more limited use. A sunroom will add more value to your home, but at a much higher up-front cost and longer construction timeline.

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.
