Mark and Curtis knew just how to proceed on not only regular maintenance, but their ability to solve some long standing problems with my sliders was amazing. They were friendly and courteous! I highly recommend their business.

  • Paramount Siding & Windows
Paramount did an excellent job - the house looks fabulous. They were very generous - throwing in several upgrades (higher grade siding, accent siding, gutters & they repaired soffits & fascia). This work was covered by insurance and Paramount was able to include insulation in the bid when several other contractors were not. They were persistent in getting my business; I was prepared to go with another contractor, but they convinced me to give them a shot. I was glad I did. There were some very minor things that needed attention after the job was done and they addressed them right away. The only issue I had with this contractor was with payment options. As I said this was an insurance job. Because I had not received proceeds from insurance and Paramount needed a payment, I offered to make a partial payment with my credit card. The owner readily accepted my credit card payment. Later when I still had not received insurance proceeds and Paramount was calling me for another payment, I again offered to pay the balance with my credit card. This time, I was told I could not use the credit card again because it cost Paramount too much to use the cards and because the company had exceeded its limit with the credit card company. This has created a budgeting issue for me and I would have appreciated being informed up front that I could only use my credit card for limited amount. Still, my overall experience was a good one and the work was excellent. I would just make sure I spelled out every detail about payments prior to starting work

  • Vista Home Improvement
This project was hampered by the record October snowfall and subsequent long power outage in New England. Even after taking storm delays into consideration, this job took five weeks to complete. This was much longer than the two week estimate given. I believe that Brian Rudd (Vista Owner) had overbooked jobs and was unable to assign an adequate number of crew to complete the project in a timely manner. All crew members were extremely coureous and accommodating. The house now looks much better than before. I would recommend Vista Home Improvement to anyone

  • Newlook Sidings Inc
Ed, and his crew came and started each project when they said they would be there and cleaned up each and every day. They always asked questions and showed me when there was issues. They are still working on my deck would expect there not to be any issues.
  • Roof Smart of SW Florida
Removal and installation took approx. 6 days-some days were not full days. Materials were delivered several days before any activity began. Expect a lot of noise, and forget about your quiet time during the day-these guys work really hard! Sunday though was quiet, obviously they do take a day off. Old roof and soffits were off the first day. Bad wood was replaced the next . By the 4th day, new roof was complete and soffits/gables 90% done. Gutters, electrical, telephone, and fiber optic lines were dealt with carefully. At the end of each day, everything was picked up. If it wasn't for the red dumpster no one would have known men had been at work. When ALL was done, the tarps, laying on the ground to catch nails and such, were taken up, and a large flat magnet was used to collect all metals around the house. The dumpster parked in the driveway, to hold all refuse, was towed away. Later, in the mail, I received a Thank you card along with a $50.00 gift card to a local restaurant! I would, however, like to say that, Mr. Jim Marks, the first person I met from Roof Smart and drew up my contract, was a very pleasant man with whom I enjoyed conversing. He was an "A-1" sales representative of the company and with deep regret, learned much later, had passed away soon after I had met him. I mention this because, though the company may have been in mourning, the work continued, and DONE WELL. I have photos..

  • Roof Smart of SW Florida
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my complete satisfaction with roof smart. After doing significant research on my own accord, I finally reached out to Roof Smart. From the initial consultation and throughout the roof replacement process, Frank went above and beyond to keep me informed. Frank was always available to answer any questions that I had. The crew were very professional and the install was done in an extremely timely fashion. I doubt that you would find such a thorough job with any of the competition. From start to finish they kept the debris to a minimum on the property. The end product is fantastic. Usually, I do not write reviews as English is not my native language. In this case though, I could not let it go as I was completely impressed with Frank and the Roof Smart team. Furthermore, this is a very big investment. I wanted to share my experience to alleviate any stress for others when choosing a roofing company. Thank you Frank and Roof Smart

The price quoted was fair based on other competitive bids. Took 4 days to complete, with one weekend and one weekday where there was no work performed. Finished product was good to excellent. They willingly came back to tweak a few areas that I had identified, and cleaned up the worksite well. All in all, would recommend them. They will be the vendor to beat when I replace my shingle roof in a few years

I can't say enough about how well the entire project went. This is a 14 unit condo and not one person had any serious problems. The project took just over two weeks. They cleaned the site every day and kept the condo project manager well informed of what was happening. The condo project manager had direct contact with the roof smart site managers and sales staff at all times. The roof smart project manager was on site most of the time or got here within 20 minutes if asked to do so. The workers were all polite and respectful. At the end of the project, several minor details needed to be taken care of and they were completed within a day. This is a top notch professional operation

My original call was to have the fascia re-nailed or replaced around the house. They responded quickly. While checking the soffit and fascia around the lanai, Eryn discovered some rotting wood. Further investigation revealed the flat roof needed replaced. I asked Eryn to check the rest of the house. The flat deck was the only area that needed replaced. Everyone I spoke with, worked with, and asked questions to, was very polite, professional and and willing to explain any question or concern I had. The work crews were were excellent! Everyone was very professional. They seemed to have been very well trained. The work area was cleaned each day. It feels good to know that my new roof meets all the new codes

The price you might pay when contracting contractors to add siding to your house

You can expect to pay anywhere from $2,900 to $44,000 for a home siding project. That’s a ginormous range because so many factors go into deciding the cost of any house siding job.

Generally, the biggest factors in the cost of a home siding job are the size of the home and the type of siding you want. Vinyl siding costs around $2 to $3 per square foot, and aluminum siding usually costs closer to $3 to $4 per square foot. Brick siding can cost you up to $3 to $10 per square foot. Stone veneer is even more expensive, running about $8 to $11 per square foot on average.

If the pro you choose has to do extra prep work, such as removing damaged boards or infrastructure before installing siding, the cost is usually more. The same is true for more detailed projects, such as working with siding on eaves or multiple-story homes that need the pros to set up scaffolding.

A good way to start to understand how much your job might cost is to ask for estimates from professionals in your area.

Top practices for hiring a local siding professional

Hiring a neighborhood business to make adjustments to your home involves a lot of trust. Make sure you contract the correct siding company for your project by going over the elements below as you zero in on your results.

Only work with appropriately licensed, insured companies

Whenever you hire someone to do a job on your property, ensure they hold the proper insurance coverage. Insurance protects the company and its employees if something should happen on the job, but it can also safeguard your interests, too.

Employing a properly licensed professional is also vital. If your state or community dictates that siding contractors have licenses, hiring a contractor who doesn’t could place your job at risk legally or cause problems with any mandated permits.

View a portfolio of projects and ask for references

Refrain from hiring siding companies impulsively. Require pictures of jobs previously performed, particularly if they have previously done jobs on a home similar to yours. Then, you can see what the completed project looks like to determine if a contractor is the best fit for your assignment. You can also request recommendations so you can talk to former customers and learn what they liked best about working with them.

Read the fine details carefully

Always go over any quote completely before you sign on the dotted line. If a company refuses to put things in writing, that’s a red flag that should make you reconsider prior to signing a contractual agreement with them.
