"What a pleasurable experience. Brad and team is very professional and always on time. The work done was impeccable and I cannot wait to work with them again on all my house needs. The dock they built for is amazing! The woodwork was spot on. The crew that works on site are all friendly and kind. Thanks for the work!"

"They did the job very well and I was happy with everything they did. They showed up on time but actually a little early. They removed the old air conditioner and installed the new one and took the old one out to the curb."

"I needed someone to install a pet door through a concrete wall. Finding someone willing to do that task was a little difficult. Kallpa Control reached out to me through Angi's list, sent Henry out to take a look at the job and he came back when scheduled, on time and did a great job. I could not be any happier. He constantly was cleaning up the work site which was refreshing to see someone actually do that while working. He was polite, respectful and made sure we were pleased with the job before he left."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Although no heating appliance can be entirely risk-free, a fireplace insert is considered a safer alternative to a traditional open fireplace, thanks to their enclosed design. With a sealed combustion chamber, a fireplace insert effectively reduces the risk of sparks and embers escaping into the room, minimizing the chance of an accidental fire.

Additionally, an insert comes equipped with various safety features, such as tempered glass doors that create a barrier between the flames and the surrounding space. This enhances both safety and energy efficiency by preventing heat loss. As an added bonus, many inserts are designed to meet strict safety standards that ensure proper ventilation and combustion.

You can install a range hood and use the vent to protect your kitchen cabinets from heat and steam from the stovetop. For added heat protection, homeowners can install metal heat shields to exposed sections of the cabinets. It is also essential to keep cabinet surfaces clean by removing any grease buildup that can cause a fire.

Yes, an electrical fire can start even if nothing is plugged into an outlet. While a correctly functioning outlet poses no risk, a fire can be caused by faulty wiring, damaged outlet components, an overloaded circuit, or other electrical problems hidden behind the walls. If you suspect a fault, immediately turn off the circuit breaker and contact a professional electrician to diagnose and repair the issue.

The most common causes of kitchen fires are leaving cooking food unattended, frying food with excessive amounts of oil, and leaving flammable objects near the stovetop.

The damper, located just above the firebox, can open or close the chimney flue. The damper should remain closed unless there’s a fire burning in the fireplace. Closing the damper prevents energy loss through the chimney and cold air from seeping into the home during the winter. Opening the damper helps maintain airflow when there is a fire and prevents smoke and gases from venting into the house.
