"We remove a hot tub, filled the space with gravel and needed someone to pour a concrete slab over. It was not an easy job as the floor is not leveled or flat, but Jed managed to finish it."

"AJs Concrete & Waterproofing did an absolutely fantastic job! Anthony was super communicative and informative. They were able to offer super an immediate quote and started work in less than a week. Everything was done in just over 2 days- I had a sidewalk and pad put in with other pavers removed. I would 100% recommend them to ANYONE looking to get work done."

"Ricardo de Lima and his team arrived right on schedule. They were most professional, worked steadily to complete my project which required them to saw up my old unused hot tub and remove it in pieces due to limited space on my property for actual removal. They completed the work in reasonable amount of time, cleaned up the area after hot tub removal. They also removes other assorted junk that I requested to be removed. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again if I have a need."

Customers say: Quality work

"I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pelican Rock for any type of brick work. Cirino and his crew worked hard to create a beautiful and solid brick sidewalk from our lanai steps to our dock. Their precision work, attention to detail, and timely completion was amazing. I was impressed with every step of the project including their attention to clean up the work area! I took some pictures but they are too large to upload here. I’m VERY impressed with the job!"

"Great work st a very fair price. Trimmed a hurricane damaged tree and removed a very large uprooted tree stump in a difficult location. Once arrived (a little late but thatâ s ok) they immediately started work and didnâ t stop until completed. Excellent work and amazing cleanup. Definitely recommend and wonâ t hesitate to hire again if needed."

Concrete Disposal questions, answered by experts

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.
