"The Clean Plumber made an appointment for the next day, showed up on time, brought the proper equipment, and snaked the drain for a reasonable price. The job was guaranteed for 30 days. When a subsequent back-up occurred, the technician came back the following day, re-snaked the line, and cleaned it again. We have had no further blockages. Thanks"

"Very professional, located and handled the issue with our sump pump drain line blockage within hrs. But not only that then went the extra mile to prevent the blockage from ever occurring again in the future and making a whole new drain line above ground so it doesnâ t get blocked with mud with the Florida rain. The gentleman Marty is very service oriented and has a very high care factor."

"Had a pipe leaking in wall. Plumber arrived and proceeded to cut holes (8 to 15 inch square holes) in various places looking for leak. After 2nd hole I had to suggest turning the water back on to listen for leak before cutting more holes. General area of hole was found and he cut hole near base board to find it was wet. He then cut several holes up the wall until reaching the leak- a broken pipe going into shower faucet on the other side of the wall. I talked to other people with plumbing experience in the weeks following and was told that what I thought was correct- the general area of the leak should have been narrowed down before starting to cut holes. Getting someone to repair the holes is going to cost me more than the plumbing repair. In addition, before the leaving the plumber told me that my PVC pipes were rated for a lifespan of 30 years and that copper pipes were only good for about 25 years. Again talking to other people with plumbing knowledge and using google I found that while that can sometimes be the case with very acidic water it's more common that copper pipes should last for 50-70 years and pvc for at least 50-75 and up to 100 years or more. Giving me the worst case estimate without any other information seems either slightly dishonest or incompetent."

"It came in under budget and was done quicker than he'd originally thought. There was an issue with the track hoe on the second day ( the track came off), but Mark and his crew made up for it by getting the better track hoe the next day and were able to obviously make up the time lost.

The above is the original report done by my husband immediately following the completion.  Afterward, we had some issues. We realized he and his guys broke two sprinkler pipes underground and caused us to have a very high water bill until we realized and fixed it on our own.  He left the track hoe in our front yard for two extra days - an eyesore and then we received a notice telling us that Suncoast Rentals put a lien on our home because he owed them $10!  Within a few days, we received another letter telling us the lien had been lifted.  He came and picked up the first check on the day we decided the work and same with the completion day. We were doing the work on a house that was vacant in at the time and he drove from South Tampa to Clearwater twice. That should have been the red flag that he might have had money problems at the time but that is just my assumption.  Lastly, many of the plants/trees have started growing back. He told us the banana trees would but not the rest.  We manage and our yard still looks amazing. I am appreciative to he and his company as they did a great deal of work and sweat equity but I think it should have cost a little less based on the final product. We did call him out to remove some plants that regrew but then decided we'd just work on it. None the less, our yard looks amazing but, in hindsight, we likely should have gone with another company and I should have gotten more involved in the process (my husband worked directly with Mark)."

"I needed a sprinkler system because I was getting a new lawn and didnt want to be dragging hoses around morning and night for 30 days. I didnt know how much sprinklers cost so I called 5 companies. One was for 2,500. Two were was for 1,500 and one person never called me back and the last company could get me an appointment until the next week. I said thank you and was disappointed because these were too high for me and I couldn t afford them. I then got a call from Sunrise and I told them the situation, that I didnt have a lot of money and was retired, but they wanted to come out and give me a quote anyway, just so I knew how much to save for. I told him I would need it right away this week because I had the lawn people coming out the next Monday. Ryan came out and gave me a decent quote that I could afford and I told him I would have to check with my finances and give him a call back. Well I checked and I was able to call him immediately and tell him yes, I wanted the system. Ryan told me he could have someone come out the next morning to start installation. I was ecstatic because I knew the time crunch I was under. Ryan and his team came out the next morning and started work. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing and got right to it. Within Id say an hour and a half to two hours I had a complete system installed. They showed me how to use the timer and showed me where they set the sprinklers and how it encompassed the complete lawn. I was very happy and would recommend Sunrise to all my friends and family. I will be calling them back when I have enough money to add the side and back yard as a zone. Thank you Sunrise. You made me very happy."

"Fernando and his team with SAFE-FER Landscaping was recommended to us by a local nursery/business. We hired SAFE-FER Landscaping to work on our backyard - adding privacy with palm trees/plants, sod installation, and sprinkler system. Fernando is knowledgeable, a dedicated worker, and friendly. Fernando and his team have always done a great job. We have been very happy with their work, as it has transformed out outdoor living space. We plan to hire them again to help with hedging along the street side of our fencing and to spruce up our front yard. We would definitely recommend them."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Knowing the signs can alert you to a clogged drain line. Clogs cause slow drainage or cause no drainage (if there’s a complete blockage). You may also notice foul odors, gurgling noises, water backing up in other appliances on the same line, or a poorly flushing toilet. If you experience any of these issues and think your line might be clogged, call a plumber.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.

You should inspect and clean your French drain at least once per year to keep it in good working order. Regular maintenance can help identify clogs, buildup, and damage before they become bigger problems, which increases the lifespan of your drain. The frequency with which a drain clogs can depend on factors like the amount of debris, the quality of the installation, and the type of filter used. If your drain accumulates a lot of sediment, it may require more frequent cleaning. It's also a good practice to check the access and exit points after heavy storms. If you notice reduced drainage or any signs of a clog, clean the drain as soon as possible.

Yes, chemical drain cleaners contain sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, both of which are not only dangerous to your health but also extremely caustic. Drain cleaners will corrode your pipes and could lead to destroyed drain lines, especially if the chemicals interact with the piping for long periods. Unfortunately, this extended interaction is likely if you’re dealing with a clog, as the drain cleaner will have just as much trouble as water does moving through your plumbing system.

No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.
