A pipe just under the concrete slab of my house sprung a pin-hole leak on 11/30/2015. Contacted The Drain Team the next morning and they sent out a plumber to access the situation- roughly 100 dollars. The leak couldn't be detected then-- it was causing hot water to come up from under my kitchen counter from the floor out. So I had to get a plumber with a sonar detection device to find the leak (another $285). Once the leak was detected, I was advised it was in the concrete slab/just below the surface such that the concrete slab would need to be Jack-hammered to access the pipe. This would then send vibrations throughout the floor that could potentially compromise the integrity of the existing copper pipes in the foundation of the house leading to possible leaks/water damage in the house in the future. They recommended I re-pipe the house to bypass the existing copper pipe system. Made sense to me, so I greenlighted the project, being told it would take 2-3 days to complete. And that's where the fun started.... That was December 1, 2015. It is now February 19, 2016 and the project STILL isn't finished. While the plumber Jon C. has been very nice, professional and has done a good job on what has been done so far, it has been almost 3 months of --we'll be there such and such a day to do such and such work -- the day comes and goes and nobody shows up, or, nobody shows up and excuses are given why nobody showed up. There have been too many days like this, which, obviously, detracts from their professionalism score to say the least. The work done so far on the re-pipe seems to be quality work, but time will tell. They bypassed the copper pipes in the walls and floors with red and blue plastic tubing above through the attic -- so, hopefully, that Florida heat in the summer in the attic won't cause any problems with them in the future. I have been assured they will last 40 to 50 years...but I have been assured a lot of things with this company that still haven't panned out. So, as of Friday, February 19, 2016, I still have a hose bib that needs done, exterior walls still have holes that haven't been patched or touched up, pvc pipes are still exposed on the wall of the Great Room that haven't been covered up by a column as promised/described as part of the work, holes exist in the Sheetrock / walks of my house where the plumbers cut into as access points to pipes and plumbing fixtures such as the sink, garden tub, toilets, etc. and, the refrigerator in my kitchen has been moved aside for 2 months now so the piping under it could get fixed to supply the fridge with a water line. Hire these guys if you want to see a project go for 3 months or longer. I know it's Florida and everybody is busy with other jobs and emergency jobs, but if you can't do a quality job professionally in a set amount of time, don't put a bid on it. Just tell them your specialty in unclogging toilets and sinks.
