"David has working on multiple rental properties and two commercial offices for me. He is as much an awesome designer work an architects eye (but much cheaper) that also does construction. He is pragmatic and plans out the project and materials exceptionally well. And he typically arrives on site in the late mornings which is nice so that you won't be woken up by construction noise! Quality work that isn't rushed is hard to find. If you want it done right with great ideas. Call David!!"

"I am beyond impressed with the service I received! From the very beginning, the team demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and an incredible eye for detail. What started as a simple vision for decorating and setting up my home turned into something even more beautiful than I imagined. They did not just decorate a space, they created an atmosphere. Every piece was thoughtfully placed and every detail felt intentional. The overall look was elegant, warm, and welcoming. You can truly tell they are passionate about what they do because the level of care and excellence shows throughout the entire space. The process was smooth, organized, and stress free. They listened to my ideas, understood my style, and elevated everything to another level. Walking into my home afterward felt like walking into a magazine worthy space. I am so grateful for the beautiful transformation. Absolutely outstanding service!"

"Ecolecuá offers a unique collaborative approach with her clients. On our project, she struck the perfect balance; she listened to our ideas and feedback but very much maintained her role as the creative expert, making us feel comfortable the entire time. I would absolutely recommend Ecolecuá with no hesitation. With all she has done, she is going to find the right approach for just about any client. Aileen Dominguez Dentist, Boston, Massachusetts"

Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts

Yes, most designers tailor plans to fit your budget. Discuss financial constraints during initial consultations.

While the terms 'interior designer' and 'interior decorator' are often used interchangeably, they represent distinct professions with some overlapping work. The primary difference lies in the scope of their projects.

An interior decorator focuses on the aesthetics of a space, making less permanent decisions about decor. Their work involves selecting colors, fabrics, furniture, wall art, paint, and other finishes to 'dress' a room and enhance its style.

An interior designer has a broader scope that includes a decorator's aesthetic focus but also extends to the structural and functional aspects of a space. Designers are qualified to plan layouts, make structural changes, and manage overall functionality. They handle permanent decisions regarding fixtures like cabinets and bathtubs, establish floor plans, and may hire contractors.

Due to the technical skills required, interior designers typically have formal education, certification, and may hold a license, which can result in higher fees. As a general rule, it is best to hire an interior designer for major remodeling projects and an interior decorator for projects focused on establishing or refreshing a home's interior style.

Current trends in custom furniture design are heavily influenced by a desire for sustainability and functionality, often incorporating reclaimed or eco-friendly materials. There is also a focus on multifunctionality, allowing pieces to adapt to various needs and spaces.

Designers optimize space, improve aesthetics, and recommend durable, high-quality materials.

No, even if you have a vague idea of what you want, it’s a good idea to reach out to a contractor that specializes in outdoor kitchens for assistance. Professionals who have constructed kitchens for other homeowners can not only help you think about the functionality and convenience of your outdoor space—which many homeowners neglect—but they can also help you choose high-quality, durable materials that meet your budget and match the rest of your outdoor space. In fact, it’s often better to contact a contractor and get the ball rolling before you have a solidified plan for your outdoor kitchen.
