"Mark was such a pleasure to work with.  He has a great thing going with Creative Remodeling of Orlando.  We had a few other window quotes, but Mark came in significantly lower.  Not only was his price spot on, but his service and professionalism were untouchable.  Mark stayed in constant communication throughout our project and still is checking in to make sure we are satisfied!  He scheduled the permit inspection which was handled without a hitch, which was so very helpful.  We would recommend Mark and his team to everyone and anyone we can tell about.

"I needed an experienced stucco company to look at an issue I had with a new construction home only 11 months old. I had eifs decorative styrofoam columns in front of my home that were falling apart and splitting down the sides where they were put together. I met with Chris Delancy one day after speaking with him by phone. He looked at the situation and provided me with the best option to make this right. He was very easy to talk with, answered all my questions, provided me a quote and I hired him right then. Chris took the time to explain how it would be accomplished and that this would definitely extend the life of the column. He arrived the very next day at 8:00, covered my entire patio with protective layers of thick paper, and began his work. He reached out to me and provided me with an update and he and his sons finished the job about an hour after I arrived home. They swept up and washed down my patio and it looked perfect! Not only was the stucco work perfect, everything was clean before they left. Chris and his sons took pride in covering my patio and plants and made sure everything was right. Let’s just say, Chris Delancy’s number is stored in my phone. I just wish my builder of my new home had the skill and pride that Chris has. It’s a shame I had to go outside the builder to fix this issue but honestly I’m glad I did!!! It was done right even if I had to pay it was truly worth every penny!!! Call Chris if you want it done right! I’m thrilled with his work!"

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Egress windows are typically required for basements with habitable space or living quarters. Not all basements or lower levels require egress windows. However, egress windows are required in homes with living spaces such as bedrooms and living rooms in a basement. The International Residential Code and International Building Code require sleeping rooms to have a specific size egress window. Check your local building codes to confirm the requirements in your area.

If improperly installed, an egress window can compromise your foundation’s structural integrity, so it’s important to work with a pro to ensure your foundation remains in good shape. Any money you may save on a DIY egress window installation may cost you in the long run if your foundation is damaged in the process.

Depending on size, material, and labor, two windows can cost between $600 and $1,600.

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.
