"Julio did a great job and we really like how our shower conversion turned out. He did quality work throughout the project from the beginning to end. Installed a custom shower pan where our tub once was added new board and did all tile work as well as installing grab bars and a bench. He kept us informed with updates on the project as he went. Julio particularly has a passion for getting all the details right. We would definitely use him again."

"Jessie did a great job with the installation of my composite deck. First he went out of his way to locate the decking for me. He did an expert job in a timely fashion. Went the extra mile to take care of small issues associated with the installation and consulted with me on any issue instead of just doing what he thought. Cleaned up and replaced everything when he was done. I highly recommend Jessie as he is a perfectionist in his field. You wonâ t be disappointed!"

"We were very disappointed. We had scheduled appointments with two other handymen. They never showed up or called. Omar, with Max B was very professional. He called ahead of time to confirm our appointment. He explained what our problems were. We agreed on the price with him, and he completed the work in a timely manner."

"Scott and his assistant arrived on time, were very professional and did a very nice job replacing the siding on a large exterior wall. The work area was left clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend them to friends or family and intend to use them again for any projects we feel like are more than we can tackle ourselves."

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

If a pool turns green after adding salt, there’s a good chance the salt is the problem. Certain brands of salt have high levels of iron that cause pool water to take on a green hue. Test your pool water to determine if this is the issue. The green color will usually filter out. Brush the sides of the pool to knock the iron off.

This is just one reason a pool can turn green that is specific to adding salt. Many other reasons a pool can turn green include algae growth, low chlorine levels, a faulty filter, etc.

The life expectancy of a stock tank pool depends on the level of maintenance that you put into it, but it typically lasts for 10 years or more with regular maintenance and repairs. Regularly testing the water and adjusting the chemical levels, using a chlorine float instead of tablets that can end up on the floor of the pool, lining the pool, cleaning the stock tank, and managing any rust immediately will help extend the life of the pool.

Permits are generally required to build an in-ground swimming pool. These permits cover aspects like zoning, safety fencing, and electrical work. Obtaining the correct permits involves coordination with local building authorities.

Filter balls don’t work as well as sand filters because they’re unable to handle large debris, are prone to clogging, and require frequent cleaning. While they can seem more convenient and less expensive than sand filters, most need to be removed and washed regularly, or they won’t filter well and struggle with algae and dirt. Speak with your pool maintenance pro about the best filtration option for your pool.

There are several affordable ways to chill your pool. A pool cover can help prevent the temperature of your pool from rising during the sun. You can also run your filter at night to help aerate the water. The next most wallet-friendly option is a DIY pool chiller or fountain that uses evaporation to cool your pool.
