"We have a very unusual toilet in the pool bath. It is a dual flush. And you don't see too many of them here. The water kept running and I had called the company that manufactured the toilet and they sent me a valve that they thought was the problem. Ken from A Plumbing Pro came out and fixed it and it works great.

He was very willing to tackle this unusual job. He worked until he got it right."

"I live in quite a old house. I am in the process of making a huge a cross country move, and in the middle of that hassle, the sewerage system backed up and there was soot and yuck! in the bath tub and toilet (of course the toilet wouldn't flush). I called Jose about 2:30 in the afternoon and he and his co-worker came out, diagnosed, fixed the problem by 4:30 PM. I live in Port Charlotte and he drove in from Port Myers. I could tell almost immediately he was professional and knew what he was doing. Both gentlemen were very pleasant and Jose took the time to tell the landlord what the problem was, and what he needed to do. For plumbing emergency, the price was reasonable and well worth it. If I weren't moving and had any other plumbing issue, he would get my business for sure."

"Pricier than others, but at least they showed up and fixed the drippy facet and the wobbly toilet. Another Co. (unfortunately I donâ t remember the name of) was supposed to show up for an estimate, and never showed up. They were supposed to be here by 3 PM. I wasted a morning & afternoon waiting for them."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Ensuring your toilet will fit starts with measuring the rough-in, but there are a few other factors to consider. The toilet tank's height and the toilet's depth should fit comfortably within the bathroom’s current setup. When considering depth, look at the walking space around the toilet to ensure it fits in the bathroom.

Snaking a toilet is similar to clearing sinks and bathtubs, but there are unique circumstances where you’d have to drain, disassemble, and remove the toilet to fix the clog. For stubborn clogs in the toilet trap, a toilet auger—designed with a shorter cable and a protective plastic encasing—can navigate the tight bends and clear the clog without risking damage to the porcelain.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.

If you notice water leaking down the side of the bowl or tank and you don’t notice any cracks in the porcelain, the odds are that it’s condensation. If you notice water around the base of the toilet, this points to a leak. Check for loose bolts. A sewage odor may also indicate a broken toilet flange.

Some of the most common plumbing problems in mobile homes are frozen pipes, leaking pipes, clogged drains, and low pressure. Since the pipes in a mobile home aren’t as insulated as those in a standard build, they’re more susceptible to fluctuating temperatures and damage.
