"Absolutely excellent experience! Came on Thanksgiving gave me a quote.. Gave me a reasonable quote n agreed to return on Friday at 10ish, n was on time! Finished my project in a timely fashion, but then went above n beyond by snaking my clogged toilet, adding a part to the toilet to stop the constant running, and without my knowledge secured my broken toilet to the floor without even telling/charging me for either! Father n son were both personable and professional! I’m disabled and have a mess in my garage from a former boarder that makes it impossible for me to enter my garage, use my ramp, or do my laundry! Though it has nothing to do with plumbing, they offered to help me AND worked out a deal on the price just to help me out! Have a remodel job of my bathrooms to make it accessible for me which presently it’s NOT! The quote was higher than I anticipated, but they’ve shown me the quality of their work n they’ll get the job when I’m ready!!"

"It's easy to click the stars for all 5's for this company. They are top notch. They are on time. They are extremely professional. They are rightly priced. They are exceptionally great overall. Had 5 toilets installed (we bought them from Lowes, but we hired paradise to install them) in less than 3 hours...hauled the old ones away. Cleaned up all mess. Could not ask for more. Highly recommend!"

"We use Perdido Heating & Air.  I have a maintenance contract with them and they did the Fall one.  It was the last check for the year of 2016.  They do a good job.  They were here the 18th of October 2016.  It costs around $98 to $100.  I would absolutely use them again.  They've always done a good job.  I've had them for several years and they always come when they're supposed to.  They never leave any mess."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

You can tell if your toilet fill valve is full by removing the lid and taking a look. When you flush the toilet, the float is at the bottom of the tank, the water empties, and the fill valve opens. The float rises to the top as the tank fills again with water. When the float rises to the right level, the fill valve closes; if the valve is too high, your toilet may only partially flush, requiring you to adjust the float.

Whether wall-mounted or floor-mounted toilets are better comes down to personal preference.

Overall, standard floor-mount toilets are less expensive to purchase and install, but they don’t offer the streamlined, modern appearance and adjustable height of wall-hung toilets. Ease of cleaning should also be considered, as wall-hung toilets are easier to clean than standard models.

If you don’t replace a toilet flapper, your toilet tank will continue to empty and fill repeatedly, wasting water and running up your utility bills. Checking the flapper is a good first guess when dealing with a constantly running toilet. However, if these problems continue after replacing the flapper, you may need to hire a plumber to check and fix any bigger problems.

While you might think that phantom flushes are simply eerie, they are bad for your toilet (and wallet). These flushes indicate a leak somewhere in the toilet system that needs repairing. These leaks can cause damage to your walls, flooring, and even your plumbing system. While one random flush every now and then might not seem like a big deal, leaving it unattended can lead to bigger problems.

Yes, pressure-assist toilets leak, but less often than regular toilets. You might experience leaks from your toilet due to worn-out parts, water pressure in your plumbing that’s too high or low, poor installation, or cracks in your tank. These toilets are harder to fix on your own than gravity-fed ones, so it’s best to call a plumber if you can’t figure out what’s wrong,
