"This highly the worst experience I ever had in my entire life being a 62 year old person. Roto-Rotor came out to my home, and even before they started working charged my landlord well over $400 to unclog a pipe, the job wasn't completed to say the least. Their senior supervisor James came out on Saturday 09/02/2023 to the property. Before even started he was quoting prices from $495 to $629 for work he hadn't done yet. Once.he received a payment, he work well until after dark without any results to show for it. But, he left a nasty mess in my livingroom and bathroom. He even went in my bedroom to plug up his electric snake device without my permission. Also adding insult to injury he had the poorest of attitudes. Making comments like "you people" making it seem like a clog that he couldn't take care was our fault because we used flushable wipes. He also put the toliet inside my shower, that my two minor grandsons and I use. He walk back and forth from the bathroom and outside tracking raw sewage and dirt in my home. My son, daughter in law, and 10 month granddaughter were at my home to celebrate my daughter's birthday, which passed in March of 2020. Her son's who live with me were traumatized. His snake got stuck so he went outside in the front of the home dugged a hole, then cut a hole in the pipe, went back in the bathroom remove his snake leaving even move raw sewage all over it. Walls, door, vanity, toilet and shower walls inside and out. He complained the entire time, and didn't clean upthe mess he made, or mention it. He had me sign an invoice, but didn't leave me a copy."

"I would give these folks twenty stars if I could. They were professional, thorough and reasonably priced....most of all they provided a solution for a clogged, compromised sewer pipe that otherwise could have been disastrous. My recently purchased house was built in 1968 and soon after moving in, the drain kept clogging. After jetting the line and an initial de-scaling/cleaning attempt, the video that was taken revealed that my sewer pipe under my slab was severely compromised, fractured and with holes in multiple spots. Other tradespeople I spoke with said that my floor and slab would need to be cut open to dig out the old sewer pipe and replace it with PVC---an ENORMOUS expense and undertaking.I am so glad I called Jax Hydro-Jetters. They were able to re-line the existing sewer pipe with a strong, durable coating without disrupting my home. Problem solved. I can't tell you the peace of mind they brought to me and my husband. It is priceless and I am forever grateful. I would HIGHLY recommend you call them for any clogging disruption you are experiencing in your home. You will be so happy you did."

"Mandarin Well- riddled with Hydrogen Sulfate, iron, manganese, and dirty 1800’s style grayish yellow water. All solved by simple Peroxide! I waited a couple of weeks to write this review to make sure I remained satisfied and that this level of detail was justified, and it most definitely is. In summary, Integrity Water deserves all of the 5 stars you see here. We recently moved into an old 70s home in Mandarin that had been renovated. The house was nicely done but the as old well remained and so did all the water quality issues. The sulfur odor was so strong that a running sink in the master could be smelled in the kitchen (2k ft away). It was awful. To make it worse, the water itself was filthy as there wasn’t even a sediment filter piped in, so I’m not sure how the previous residents lived with it. We had rust stains on the new tubs within weeks of moving in and would have a dirt ring where the water line was. Jewelry would change colors in the shower and tarnish. Oh, and there’s nothing like brushing your teeth, tasting rusty metal, and feeling the grit of good Florida sand in your mouth. After a month of research, I’d considered and spoken with several “softener” companies and had quotes from $6,500-$9k in hand. I also searched for DIY solutions like specialized water heater anodes, well treatments, etc. Days of forums, YouTube videos, scam alerts, bbb reviews, all of it. All a waste of time. Peroxide infusion was the top competitor every time for my scenario. Fortunately I stumbled on the reviews for Integrity and was surprised at the amount of times one persons name was mentioned, and directly tied to 5 stars. I called and Daniel answered. He’s been absolutely phenomenal since. My well systems and plumbing layout were more challenging than others and needed quite a bit of up front work to prep for the peroxide system to be set in line with the main. Daniel came by the house several times prior to install and helped me plan it step by step so I could schedule the jobs. Once I was satisfied with the prep work, he installed his system in about 6 hours. He’s a master plumber so of course his plumbing was clean and the tank setup looked professional, but the truly amazing part was beginning that day with gray, dirty, rotten egg fart water and ending it with crystal clear, odorless drinking water from every bib and faucet. Some general flushing was needed throughout of course but it’s made such a difference in our quality of life at home. Being able to fill up the kiddie pool with crystal clear water for my children was almost emotional. The price for everything (including my much appreciated Veterans’s discount) was drastically lower than those door knock companies slinging softeners all day. I mean thousand$,$$$ less. Daniel has proven to be an honest and dependable businessman and I appreciate his excellent help in getting our water quality to a superior level. I would put my water against city any day, especially since mine isn’t chlorinated. Outstanding job Daniel and Integrity Water Systems! -DH"

Choosing the right Jacksonville home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort. This I promise you.

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Think of a leach field and septic tank as the peanut butter and jelly of wastewater management. They go together. However, it is possible to have a septic tank without a leach field, as some types of septic systems don't require them. For example, your home may have a septic mound rather than a leach field or a sand filtration system, instead.

Some signs that a septic tank is full include wastewater or even sewage backing up into drains in the house, foul smells coming up through the drains or around the yard, pooling water in the yard, spongy soil underfoot around the septic tank, gurgling noises in the pipes, or grass that looks lusher or greener than normal without any new lawn care services.

Ideally, you should conduct a mechanical inspection and a bacterial or well water inspection yearly. While you might be able to push it off to every other year, it’s best to have peace of mind, especially when it comes to something that you use so frequently.

If you experience repeated gastrointestinal illness in the household, it's important to test the well water more regularly for quality and cleanliness to check for bacteria.

The ideal depth of a septic drain field is 18 to 36 inches below the surface. The trenches must be deep enough to allow proper wastewater distribution and filtration while remaining shallow enough for oxygen to reach the soil, promoting bacterial activity that helps break down contaminants. In areas with high groundwater or poor drainage, shallower systems like mound drain fields may be required.

A shallow-well pump can pull water up to 25 feet deep. A deep-well pump can pull water up to 90 feet deep. A deep-well submersible pump can pull water up to 300 feet deep. Make sure to consult a pro to find out how deep your well is and get the right pump for your needs.
