"The owner, Ben, did an outstanding job cleaning our residential windows (his company also does commercial window cleaning). To date we have used him twice. Sea-Thru Window Cleaning communicates very well with their customers - before, during and after. The result is appointments are kept and reminders for future cleanings are provided. I highly recommend Sea-Thru Window Cleaning - you will be amazed of the results."

"Excellent experience from start to finish! Tara called us back promptly to arrange a convenient date for us, and then arrived exactly when she said she would. She deep cleaned our house extremely thoroughly and took less time to do it than we thought possible (I had let it go for some time, so there was a LOT of buildup). Despite her whirlwind speed, Tara was extremely thorough, meticulous and organized. Plus her fee was far less than we expected it to be. She even brought her own cleaning supplies, which are another savings for the homeowner. We couldn't be happier and have now engaged her on a regular basis."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The best method for keeping your grout clean depends on the level of staining or discoloration. For light cleaning, use warm water and a stiff brush (specifically made for cleaning grout).

Tougher jobs call for a one-to-one solution of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the area down, wait 5 to 10 minutes, then scrub with your brush. For even more cleaning power, add water to baking soda until it creates a paste and apply it before the vinegar. If the mess is too much, you can call a local tile and grout cleaner.

It’s a good idea to give your cabinets a quick once-over every week. Every six months or so, you may want to double down on the elbow grease and give the exteriors a more thorough wipe down. Additionally, you'll probably need to pull out all the stops once a year to really deep clean the interior. If you’re not too keen on the idea of cleaning your own kitchen cabinets, you can always hire a house cleaner near you to tackle it for you. They’ll have the expertise to make sure every cabinet is spotless.

Though it may seem like a lot of work to keep an attic in tip-top shape, the truth is that you only need to deep clean this space once a year. In the meantime, check on it roughly once a month to make sure there are no leaks, remove cobwebs, and air out unwanted odors to ensure it looks and feels great between annual cleaning sessions.

Professionals use HEPA vacuums, industrial-strength cleaners, and microfiber cloths for effective cleaning without damaging surfaces.

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.
