"I met with Jim, after meeting with two other Angie List plumbers. I selected JM Stephens Plumbing because he took time to explain what he would do and how it would be done. We also wanted inline water turn-offs replaced and he cleaned up some of the shabby plumbing on the water heater from a previous installer. His estimate stated exactly what he would do, what it would cost and he took the time to discuss the job so that I could understand what would be done. He is very personable, honest and the work he performed was excellent. I felt such confidence in working with Jim that I hired him to install the dryer upon delivery. He came out right after they delivered the dryer, hooked it up and checked the gas fireplace and got it working before he left.
It was a great experience to find someone so helpful, qualified and honest.

"Overall, it was great experience. They arrived on time. One person worked outside and one inside. A mat was laid in front of the fireplace, on the floor to make sure no soot or other dirt fell or spilled on our carpet. A gadget with a camera was snaked up the flue to take pictures and pictures were taken on the outside of the chimney (with a 35mm camera) to show the condition of the cap.
The findings were explained and recommendations were made.
I only had the cleaning performed and took their recommendations under advisement. I don't recall the exact amount of the service as it was almost a year ago.
The service people were clean, professional, courteous and answered all of the questions I had. And I would definitely use them again!
They were very easy to contact and schedule the appointment. Their in house customer service people were just as friendly as those in the field.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
