Longneck Plumbing & Heating

Contracted with owner ,Mike Delcampo business license # 2006205563, to install a new propane heater for $5000. Installation was done but a few months later the unit starting spreading soot and making noises. Got my propane company to send a tech out and he immediately diagnosed the problem The unit needed to be converted from natural gas to propane but the job was never done the kit that is included for the conversion was still taped to the front of the unit. After several calls to Long Neck 302-945 4358 contacted a lady who said that at that point they had no responsibility for the installation error. The unit at this point is unsafe to use, still needs to be converted, needs to have soot build up cleaned and if the heat exchanger is cracked a new unit would be required. The unit at this point is unsafe to use due to fire hazard,still needs to be converted and quite possibly needs to be replaced. This was not a warranty issue but a installation blunder.

Found water leaking from the disposal Sunday. I received an email earlier from a resident in our development saying Eric was back! 

Called him Monday morning.  Described the problem.  Talked about possible replacements and agreed on one.  Eric arrived, as scheduled, Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM and replaced the disposal within an hour.  Cleaned up wonderfully and the new disposal is great.

Showed him a situation in the shower stall that needs addressing.  He knew exactly what I needed and said he would get back to me today to say if he found the equipment we needed.

Short time job that took most of the afternoon since they did not have the fitting with them.  I could not believe a business man would enter someones home with no shirt on.  He  should change the name to Tarzan plumbing ...........

we were out of town when sandy hit this area.  got home to find the basement flooded. our sump pump had failed.  we called long neck plumbing asking if they had a large  sump pump available to pump the basement.  the woman assured us they did.  the techs responded fairly quickly.  No sump pump!  told us that we needed a new one.  the guys went out to purchase one. took about 2 hours.  pump was replaced with something similar to what we had.  Not bigger, Not better. we could have went to Lowes ourselves to purchase this pump for $98.00   the tech was in a rush to do the job. if he spent 20 minutes it was a lot. Never gave us direct answers to the questions we asked.  Tech never checked to see why the original pump didn't work. He took our old pump when he left.  later we found that the outlet that it was plugged into didn't have any current.  to this day I wonder if that pump was operable and all we needed to do was plug it in another outlet like they did with the new one.

It went well.  I had just bought the house and the unit had not been serviced in years.  Works fine now.  Serviceman was knowledgeable and courteous.

I was put off a few times about when they were going to be there and they never showed up. I was told numerous times of when they would be working. They never ended up finishing the job and I thought the service was horrible.

The job overall went very well.  Their service is good.  I would recommend them.  We have used them several times.  The price which I paid for the type of job done in this area would be good.  I will use them again if I needed to in the future.

Called in the morning and they were here in the early afternoon. Got right to work and had my water back  in about 45 min.

I called on Friday morning, July 3rd, the start of a holiday weekend. They came at noon, got the necessary parts, and completed the installation in a few hours. The two men, Tony & Tony, were friendly, polite and very professional. The work was neat, they left everything immaculate. They repaired a second tub's drain, which was not on the original estimate, for no additional charge. Although $595 seemed high, we had just spent that much on a similar repair in our NY house, (and WE had purchased the parts, which ran several hundred dollars. above that cost. ) I would definitely call them again.

I called this company for an estimate. Out of four local companies, they are the most reasonable. They asked if I would like to schedule the work that day, which was a little quick for me only because I had to go buy the new toilet, so we scheduled for the next morning. They called to say when they would arrive, were very professional and polite, did the removal and install, cleaned up and removed all trash and asked if there was anything else they could help us with! No hidden charges, no BS , I would use this company again in a heartbeat.
