"I had a squirrel problem under a window soffit. The squirrels made a hole and the soffit was tearing down. I called several wildlife removal companies as I had a contractor come and wouldn t do the work cause he was scared of a squirrel. As soon as Wills affordable pest service came out, Terry explained the options and price and pulled down the window soffit right away. There were no squirrels and contractor was here about an hour before him. Though their were nests. The area was sweeped and everything was pushed out of the way. I am so thrilled right now. I recommend them. Thank you for good customer service."

"Project: Pest Control - Mice I wanted a company that would not use poison to kill mice since poisoned mice kill owls, etc. and get poison into the environment. This company uses only snap traps and know-how to catch mice and to find and plug nearly invisible entry points. Work was thorough and workers were knowledgeable as well as friendly and polite. The cost is actually a bit too high for me because they sell only a package, which includes insect spraying (using a poison that is not really environmentally good--same poison most companies use) which I do not want but have to pay for anyway. However, the service I do want has been worth the cost."

"This project is now under way. First application has been applied for a major roach infestation. It's going quite well with tons dead! I've also hired him to rid my mother's house of termites and black mold. Seems the termites ate clear through the sill and it has to be replaced. Everything was explained in detail and I'm quite happy with their work. Will be hiring him for other jobs at my son's house in the future."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Roach spray usually starts working almost immediately on contact—within seconds to a few minutes. However, if it's a residual spray designed to keep killing over time, it can take hours or even days to fully affect roaches that come into contact with treated surfaces. For larger infestations, it may take at least a week to see a noticeable drop in activity, since not all roaches are exposed at once.

Aside from a warm, cozy place to curl up, you might wonder what attracts mice to your home. Several items attract mice, including: Birdseed Pet food Water Cereal and whole grains Food scraps from the composting bin Open trash cans High-fat and high-sugar foods Unused cars—they make great homes for chilly mice Insulation in the attic Clutter Brush from your yard, including leaves, sticks, wood, and shrubs (so mice can make nests) Overgrown trees or bushes—mice love to leap from branches onto the roof Indoor nesting materials, including cloth, paper, tissues, and toilet paper Tiny cracks in the siding or foundation

No single deterrent will work 100 percent of the time, so we suggest combining deterrents to ensure your seed has the best possible chance to grow. Using bird netting over your seed, with physical deterrents like mylar tape coupled with hanging bird feeders at the edges of your growing area—and removing any bird’s nests, if possible—will give your seeds the best possible chance for success.

No, one snake does not always mean more. While snakes do often congregate in dens to breed, for most of the year, they are primarily solitary creatures that do not travel in groups. A single snake may make its way near your home in search of food, warmth, or shelter.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.
