The following Monday after we returned to our DC metro area house, he emailed us a reasonable estimate and did not even require a partial payment upon our acceptance of his offer. Even though we would not be present for the installation, we felt comfortable with Klaus completing the job according to our wishes. He picked up the fans we had ordered at a local distributor and included the cost in our final bill. He kept in touch by phone during the installation and resolved a few unforeseen issues on the spot. Since we were not able to come back to inspect the work for a couple weeks, we offered to make a partial payment, but Klaus refused.
