"Contractor was on time and very professional. They cleaned my chimney and inspected my other flues. The only thing I did not appreciate was; they took my main heat apart and then told me there were a birds nest blocking the chimney/flue. They turned off the heater and told me they could not turn it back on because of the blockage. I called the folks who installed my heater. They checked it out, removed the few branches and turned the heater back on. It took about 10 minutes. The estimate for the repairs, as Champion saw it, came to over $3000.00. I don't doubt that their apprasial of the sisution, this is a very old home and it needs lots of work and I do plan to get some of the things done in the near future, as I can afford them-still my wife and I did not like being without heat for a night.

On Monday Chuck and the foreman came to start work on the kitchen floor. I was told I needed more tiles so I went and purchased them. When I returned, tile was being laid, I asked if he removed the old tile and was told it wasn't necessary. They came back Tuesday and finished laying tile and when the foreman put the thresholds down it was not level at all. The new tile is thick. I'm not happy with that as it has become a tripping problem. I was told by the foreman to take a wet sponge and wipe the grouting powder the next day as it wasn't worth his while to drive all that way to do. So I had to do it myself with my bad knees. It took 4 months to obtain a receipt for the job.

"Once we got in touch with each other (my emails were going to spam), things fell into place pretty quickly.  He sent an estimate, which looked good, and started on the work quickly in order to complete it before we moved into the house.
The popcorn ceiling removal was a hot, demanding job in the summer.  What made it more difficult was the fact that under the popcorn, a lot of the ceiling had not been taped or sealed.  Lots of finishing and repairs were required before they could prime and paint it.  They repaired nail pops as well.
The underlayment, flooring and trim went in afterwards.  All of it looks terrific and very professional.  The stairs look great as well, as the carpenter was very detail-oriented.
Jim and his crew are really nice people and very helpful.  I will be hiring them again to put in windows and paint inside.  I highly respect his work."

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home.
