I heard about how contractors are unreliable, so I was cautious and did my research thoroughly. Josh Onofrio and Total Construction LLC came highly lauded. Josh is a local contractor in the Hamden/Branford area, doing this work all his life. Josh was super thorough, clear, and upfront about the process. Their prices also put a bigger company to shame when quoting the job. When the permits cleared, their crew was promptly on time every day, through sun, wind, rain. I kid you not - they were better to getting to work than I was! Josh's crew, Carl, Will, and Tee are amazing people who were respectful of our home and I consider family now.   Louis and his team were wonderful. They made the whole process stress-free and even enjoyable. Louis is so well organized and made sure that each step happened as quickly as possible. As soon as one step was finished, the inspector was there within a few days so they could move on to the next step. From framing to floors to backsplash to heating and lighting, all of their work was high quality. Every team member was extremely professional, and Louis was always available to communicate about each step and decisions that needed to be made.   The job presently is about two weeks from completion and I will be editing this review when work is completed. But overall it has been a very good experience working with Lou. He is accessible, knowledgeable, easy to work with, hard working, fair in price, willing to listen to the customers ideas and issues and has ideas of his own that he comes back with. His men are also hard working, honest, knowledgeable, and want to do a good job. After a days work, they leave the site clean and picked up. The one issue I had at the beginning is that there was no design print of the garage and entry room to see how it would look before construction began. When I saw how high the framing looked, I became concerned, but Lou assured me that when the area was sided and roofed, it would look different... which it did and matches perfectly with the adjoining new home I live in. My experience with perfect view, so far, has been very positive because he has been there to manage every step of the way and wants to do the job right and also is willing to do extra construction related things that are not part of the actual jobshow more

  Got 8 quotes, this company had the lowest responsive price. Started within 48 hours of notice to proceed, estimated 1 month of work, completed in less than 3 weeks even with requested extras. Owner checked the job progress at least once a day and when he was dissatisfied with some minor issues (which we didn't notice) he had his men do the work over again. He held his price and was reasonable on requested and required extras. We have recommended him to others who have also been pleased with his work. He is detailed, conscientious, accurate and accommodating. This wasn't an easy or straightforward project (building had to be supported while demolition was performed) and it went very smoothly.   Overall, the work on our home is exceptional. We believe Professional Home Builders stands by their company description. Everything is spelled out and itemized. The cost is accurate and they stay true to the original costs. If anything changes it is optional for the home owner and you are allowed to make your own decisions without pressure. The work is consistent and the quality measures up tremendously. The crew consists of professional tradesman who follow through with Victor's plan which shows in their work. They showed up on time and cleaned up before they went home.
