"I initially hired Wullian because of his fair pricing. I am very considerate of my customers costs, as a contractor myself so I was refreshed with earthly pricing for a change. While the work was a bit out of my capacities, he worked with me to keep the price down allowing me to do what I could. Not many companies are this flexible so I was extremely grateful. The team did exactly what I wanted and were considerate during the process. After 18 years, a tree over the house and another tree that caused countless nights of sleep loss finally were down. Soo happy, I invited him back and the service if possible, was even better. As soon as the opportunity arose, I called him a third time and got whatâ s hard to imagine that point again even Better service. This rarely is the case, usually contractors make the effort only initially to get foot in door. Dexte Tree Service if fully capable of any job size, I hope I have more opportunities to have them help on future jobs, but in the meantime after almost 20 years, Iâ m finally going to have a really nice yard because of them. Thank you Randy G. Evergreen Rd, Avon"

Small jobs welcome

"We found Nick to be very easy to work with and our job (a VERY large tree stump) was scheduled within just a few days after we contacted him. The services he performed for us were reasonably priced and we couldn't be more pleased with how everything looked after completion."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Planting trees far enough from your foundation will protect your home from root damage, but if you’re dealing with existing trees, you can still guard against roots. Root barriers form a physical boundary that will prevent roots from encroaching on your foundation and can help save you from expensive foundation repair costs.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.

The best time to cut down a tree is during its dormant season, typically in winter or early spring, after all the leaves have fallen. Removing a tree during this period is advantageous for several reasons. Frozen ground helps secure the tree stump, protects the surrounding landscape from damage, and reduces the risk of the tree falling in an unintended direction. With the leaves gone, there is less risk of the tree's foliage getting tangled with other trees. Additionally, since this is often a slower season for tree services, you may be able to hire a professional at a lower rate. This dormant period is also the best time for tree trimming.

Often, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to handle the aftermath when a neighbor’s tree falls on their property. But if a tree has been obviously dead for a significant period of time and caused damage when it fell, a case can be made that the owner should have removed it, especially if the neighbor wrote you a letter about the tree or asked you to take it down. This can be grounds for a successful lawsuit in claims court and is a good reason to always pay attention to your trees and remove dead trees before they fall.
