"This man came out in the evening, after I worked all day and had no problem helping me out. He was kind, courteous, and very up front. He not only fixed the issue, he gave me pointers on making sure it doesn’t come back. Please, give him a call if you need a plumber. He will not disappoint you!"

"I am waiting to get an answer back. I was told the $99 few would be waived if I proceeded with the repairs and the plumber did the repairs and was still charged the $99 fee. Need an answer if I am getting refunded. Was charged $145."

"They cut out the old dry wall, removed any and all mold, then replaced the dry wall, placed a tub and shower unit, they had their plumber come in and adjust our piping and install our new shower head and tub faucet all within 6-7 hrs. The installers were very nice, respectful, polite young men-- I would 10/10 recommend this company!!"

"Williams & Associates installed a Buderus oil-fired boiler and stainless-steel chimney liner. Bruce's design was a significant upgrade over my 35-year-old boiler system. He clearly explained the process and installation, and he was receptive to my questions. Bruce is knowledgeable, straightforward, and responsive. The price was very fair, considering the quality of the work and other estimates I had gotten. I would not hesitate to recommend Williams & Associates."

"Excellent. We added a bathroom and a bedroom, took down paneling and completely redid the family room. These guys did all the electrical work, plumbing work, flooring, painting and everything else. Amazing communication, stayed on budget, worked very well with us and the work was done quickly and exactly as described. Any issues were immediately dealt with. Any questions were immediately answered. Would absolutely work with these guys again and would recommend them!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Yes, combining plumbing with other projects is highly efficient. When replacing a well pump in CT, upgrade your water treatment equipment at the same time while the system is offline. During a bathroom remodel, replace aging supply lines to avoid reopening walls later. If you need septic system excavation, address landscaping and grading simultaneously. Bundling these tasks reduces disruption and consolidates the permit application process for a smoother project.

Helpful?

In Thompson, private well and septic systems require the most plumbing work. Plan for periodic well pump service and regular septic pumping. Additionally, hard water in the area accelerates scale buildup, which shortens the lifespan of water heaters and pipes. Older homes contain aging galvanized supply lines and cast iron drains that require replacement. Finally, cold winters cause frozen pipes in unheated spaces, making insulation upgrades necessary to prevent damage.

Helpful?

Upgrading plumbing directly impacts other home systems in Thompson. Adding a bathroom or high-flow fixtures directly increases the load on your septic system, making a capacity check essential. Replacing a well pump requires coordination with your electrical system, as it runs on a dedicated circuit. Additionally, changes to water lines disrupt installed water treatment equipment. For homes with boiler-based heating, professionals must carefully separate domestic water lines from heating infrastructure.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing projects, seasonal timing is critical in CT. Ground freezing limits excavation work for septic repairs or underground pipe replacement, so schedule exterior projects between spring and early fall. Because the area has limited local contractors, book professionals well in advance. You must also secure appropriate permits for all interior work and separate health approvals for well or septic modifications. Always test private well water annually for contaminants.

Helpful?

Address active leaks, frozen pipes, and failing septic systems immediately to prevent structural damage and health hazards. If water testing reveals contamination, remediate your well without delay. Schedule replacements for aging but functional pipes and cosmetic fixture upgrades at your convenience. However, prioritize any exterior plumbing projects requiring excavation before the ground freezes in Thompson, targeting completion by November to avoid severe winter weather delays.
