"Hamdan Handyman (Nejeeb) was the first to respond to my request. He was there to review the project within 72 hours of my request. Others made excuses or wanted pictures. We accepted the proposal. The shower unit he installed was perfect."

"A little misconfusion on my part thought they were coming out on a Wednesday but they showed up bright and early the day before. We weren’t ready for them and they graciously told me no problem and would be the next day. Showed up on time and did a professional job on painting our bathroom. Would highly recommend and hire again!"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.

Unless otherwise specified in the manufacturer’s instructions, in most cases you should attach the hinges to the cabinet door before attaching it to the cabinet frame. Once you attach the hinge to the door, you can then align it with the cabinet frame and screw it firmly into place. Be sure to consult the manufacturer’s instructions for best practices.

Yes, stacked cabinets, bulkhead trim, and crown molding are worth it. This look is not only customized and high-end, but you’ll also have the added benefit of extra storage space. And because you don’t need to remove your existing cabinets to achieve this look, you’ll save by not needing to complete a kitchen remodel—which could run between $15,000 and $40,000.

Medicine cabinets are not necessarily outdated, but they have evolved in design and functionality. However, some homeowners prefer other storage solutions, like wall-mounted shelving or modern vanity cabinets with built-in storage. Still, medicine cabinets remain a practical and space-saving choice in many bathrooms. In most cases, potential home buyers won’t be swayed by a medicine cabinet one way or the other.
