They found the leak in less then 10 minutes , scheduled the work to be open on the following day and fixed the leak . I will definitely hire them to come and do my full roof in the summer . "David Davis was so easy to work with. He answered all of my questions, was professional and honest. His pricing was good (his was the mid of three quotes). He was clear on what to expect and what I needed to do (buy paint). David did an outstanding job patching a small area of my ceiling and wall. He matched the pattern as best he could, though not an exact match (difficult pattern depth), I was very happy with his work. I recommend David Davis Plastering without hesitation!"

"It is very convenient, and reasonably priced.  The only thing that they could work on is the punctuality of the pick up times.  The rest of the experience was satisfactory.  My daughter has also used them.  I would highly recommend this service."

"Drywall install and paint. Tom and his crew were great people to work with. First of all the installation was excellent. Second and most important Tom and crew went way beyond what they had to do. Being quite a hoarder the basement was overflowing with stuff. Tom and crew moved everything out of the way and put it back. Price was excellent. I would highly recommend Tom and crew. Not only would I recommend them but plan on hiring them in the future."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Whether you need a drywall anchor depends on the specifics of your project, particularly what you're hanging and where. You do not need a drywall anchor if you can screw or nail the object directly into a wooden stud, as the wood provides sufficient support and stability. However, if there are no studs in the location where you plan to hang the item, you should use drywall anchors to ensure it is securely supported. For very lightweight objects, like small pictures, adhesive picture hanging strips can be a suitable alternative to anchors.

To hide drywall edges, you need to properly apply drywall tape and multiple layers of joint compound. These materials hide the seams between drywall sheets and fill the holes from drywall screws, leaving behind a smooth, flat finish to paint over. Apply joint compound smoothly, and finish the job by sanding the walls to make sure you fully hide drywall edges and other imperfections.

Common causes include water leaks, settling, and impact. Address underlying issues to prevent recurring damage.

The best way to make long, straight cuts is to use a utility knife and a T-square to score the sheet, snap along the score, and then finish the cut by cutting through the paper on the opposite side with the utility knife. If you’re making small cuts, curved cuts, or cutouts for electrical boxes or light fixtures, you can use a manual jab saw to keep costs down, but an electric spiral saw or oscillating multi-tool will get the cleanest, fastest cuts possible.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.
