We are a full service Excavation and Trucking Company with 30+ years of experience. Specializing in Complete Septic System Installation and Repair. New or Failing System we perform perk and have Design Engineers we work with your particular project. Demolition of any Building and removal of debris. We do not perform septic pump outs.

"Addendum to my last review: When the septic pump failed, we discovered how many corners were cut. Instead of a septic pump, a sump pump (for rainwater) was installed with the 1½ inch pipe joined to a 2 inch pipe to make it look like it was supposed to. There was no coupler on the pipe leading to the distribution box, necessitating cutting the pipe to get the sump pump out. No check valve. Do NOT use this guy."

Our mission is to turn your imagination into reality by working with you every step of the way. After working in almost every area of construction throughout his life, owner Scott Weidt decided it was time to take his wide knowledge base and put it into one centralized business. It was important to him that his customers could make one confidant phone call and know whatever facet of the business they required help with, AGC could handle it. Although concrete became his passion along the way, but we are available for much more than only that. Amazing Grace Construction is named after a little girl (the one in the pictures) who stole Scott's heart, his stepdaughter.

"Scott did a very good job excavating our backyard. The cost was quite reasonable. He was also responsive and communicated clearly with us in terms of what to expect, hours needed etc."

Stone and Gravel questions, answered by experts

Cobblestone fell out of favor with the advent of motor vehicles. Asphalt and concrete are both much smoother surfaces allowing for a smoother ride. Asphalt is also much cheaper, especially for driveways. However, we didn’t stop using cobblestone altogether, and you can still see it as a decorative option in both homes, in parks, and in pedestrianized areas of cities.

Drilling into brick doesn’t have to be a dangerous project if you prep and approach it with the right tools and techniques, but it does come with risks if it’s not done correctly. It can lead to significant issues, such as damaging the brick or affecting the wall’s structural integrity. Applying too much force can crack or chip the brick, while incorrect placement might compromise its load-bearing strength.

Yes, but used or reclaimed bricks can be more brittle, cracked, or uneven than new bricks, so they’re harder to cut cleanly by hand. For that reason, you should take extra care when scoring and striking, and expect a higher chance of breakage. If a brick feels especially fragile, score deeper before attempting to split it.

Yes, an outdoor fireplace should use fire bricks. Fire bricks are specially designed to withstand high levels of heat and thus won’t crack as easily as regular bricks when exposed to the intense heat inside a fireplace.

A traditional rectangular brick that is used for siding, brick walks, and pathways is 8 inches long by 4 inches wide. If you are shopping for fire bricks, the standard dimension is typically 9 inches long by 4.5 inches wide.
