Thank you so much for considering Zuck Painting during this important process of choosing the right company to paint your home!\n\nWe are a fully licensed and insured professional painting company committed to growing from your satisfaction. With over 10 years of combined management and painting experience, we believe that we have what it takes to handle any job. \n\nThe painting market is filled with contractors. Some of them have very high overhead costs in order to pay high management salaries, accelerate marketing and growth, and pay corporate royalty fees. Others may be smaller and lower priced, but may not have the network or manpower to meet deadlines and provide cadillac service. \n\nAt Zuck Painting, we believe that we fall in the middle: our pricing is fair and competitive, we have enough manpower to work on multiple jobs and meet all customer needs, and just enough management to service all requests. \n\nSome of the benefits of choosing us are as follows:\n\n1. Low 20% down payment - other contractors charge between 30%-50%.\n\n2. 100% Job satisfaction - we will not ask for ANY partial or final payments until our homeowners have walked around the site and are fully satisfied. \n\n3. Quality Guarantee - We will guarantee the quality of our workmanship for 2 years for 2 coats of paint.\n\n4. Experience - Everyone in our company has experience working on jobs ranging from $300 - $1,000,000. We have worked for homeowners, contractors, and large corporations. We have the experience and skills to problem solve anything and handle any type of job. \n\n5. Detailed Proposals - Our scopes are very well defined in writing and your end product will be completely predictable before the job even starts. \n

"Dave Harris was quick to schedule to an estimate and arrived on time. He provided some helpful insight during the estimate and ended up pricing the job significantly lower than the other contractors I had come out. After hiring Dave to rebuild the deck, his crew showed up on time and were professional. The deck was completed on time and came out great. I was so impressed I hired Dave to do some other work on my property.

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.

You don't need to seal your deck after painting it because most exterior paints are waterproof and weather-resistant. While stealing is not necessary, it can add an additional layer of protection.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

Applying too much sealer to a deck might seem like extra protection, but it can cause more harm than good. Wood is a porous material with a limited capacity to absorb liquids. When you go overboard with sealer, the excess can't soak in and instead forms a film on the surface. This leftover layer is prone to peeling, cracking, and trapping moisture, ultimately defeating the purpose of sealing in the first place.
