"Great work power washing, staining, and leveling our large deck. Melvin came out to give us a decent estimate. Workers worked for 2 days straight on the project and were pleasant and professional. Customer service kept up to date on the project and was also very pleasant and professional. I now have a beautiful deck. Would hire again without a doubt!"

"Dan and Anthony were absolutely wonderful and accommodating to my painting needs and even gave me realistic tips on quick fixes that made a world of a difference. I’ve hired them twice now and am incredibly grateful to have them as a professional paint squad."

"This crew is a hard working dedicated group of men. They showed up on time, worked all day and did a fantastic job. I changed my mind on colors a couple of times during the process (before a huge surface was complete) and they immediately changed over to my new choice. I have all wood trim and a partial wood ceiling and beams, I had no idea that wood could be so unpredictable. They were patient with me, Yuri (owner) painted one section of trim with the color I chose, he recognized that the color I picked was probably too dark and stopped painting and asked my opinion. He was right, it was too dark and it was the color I had asked him to purchase. He then advised me about possible different colors that would provide the effect I was looking for. I picked a new color and it was exactly what I wanted. Later, after drying for a couple of days, I saw some flaws that surfaced (my dogs hair got stuck on one of the wood structures while the finish was drying). No questions asked, they came out the next day and fixed it at no extra cost. This company will give you an honest quote and finish the job way faster than anticipated. The only draw back is this: the first day they paint ALL the ceilings, so, if you can, get out of the house. Which for me, during this unusual C-19 time was impossible. But they were patient, understood when I removed plastic that they had to install to protect surfaces. They are super fast. I mean SUPER fast. Bottom line, having the whole interior of your home painted during C-19 is not ideal, but this company is. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to call me. Yuri and Mike have my information."

"Adriano and his crew did a magnificent job power washing and restaining my house, and his carpenter (Diago?) did a fantastic job of replacing lots of rotten wood on my deck, fixing broken lattices, and shoring up the deck's attachment to a pillar. The house exterior and deck hadn't been stained or cleaned in such a long time, there was barely any old stain left, so they were working from scratch. They also left my property in immaculate condition. All this with much courtesy and good humor. They worked on our home like it was their own. I can't recommend them enough. His pricing was very fair."

"The painting was fine. The guy that he sent out wasn't very professional. At the end of the day he said that he probably wasn't going to be able to finish the job in the time available. We left and when we came back, he was still here. He was swimming in our swimming pool. We certainly would never use them again. If he quit using that particular painter it would probably be OK. It wasn't the owner that came out. The price was great. The painting itself was very good, it was the professionalism of the worker he sent out. When he came back the next day they were going to charge me for every hour that he was here. The guy was supposed to finish it that day and couldn't. Mr. Harris called me and said that he wouldn't charge me to finish the job. The guy came out and finished the job. I would not call them again myself."
This house had asbestos tile to be removed, rotted clapboard to be removed, several framing and insulation repairs, and reproduction moulding created on site and installed.

"They prepared the surface that needed a lot of scraping. I asked to have the paint applied by brush not spray. Work was done to my satisfaction and it is still looking great."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Limewash and whitewash are two techniques used to give brick a light, matte finish, but they differ in composition, application, and permanence. The best choice depends on your aesthetic goals and the specific surface.

Composition

  • Limewash: A natural and environmentally friendly option made from limestone, water, and sometimes pigments. It is breathable and soaks into porous surfaces like brick.

  • Whitewash: Traditionally made from lime, water, chalk, and binders, but a similar look can be achieved with watered-down white paint. It is paint-based and sits on top of the surface.

Appearance and Finish

  • Limewash: Provides a natural, textured appearance that allows the brick's character to show through. It offers a more traditional finish.

  • Whitewash: Creates a softer, more opaque finish, often used for a rustic or shabby-chic style.

Application and Permanence

  • Limewash: Is semi-permanent and can be removed, making it a good choice if you might want to change the look in the future. It requires more skill to apply and cannot be used on previously painted brick.

  • Whitewash: Is a more permanent solution. It is more forgiving to apply and can be used on painted brick. However, because it sits on the surface, it can trap moisture.

Ultimately, if you want a breathable, natural, and reversible finish for unpainted brick, limewash is a great option. If you need a more permanent, opaque coating that can be applied over painted surfaces, whitewash is the better choice. Whitewashing may also be more economical, costing approximately $1.40 to $4.20 per square foot.

A properly applied coat of stain will last between 3 and 8 years, depending on your climate. If you live in a place where your fence experiences a lot of moisture or high heat, your stain will last for a shorter period than in more temperate conditions. We recommend reapplying stain every 3 to 5 years to keep your wood in good condition.

You can refresh a painted deck by either giving it a thorough cleaning or refinishing the deck altogether. Chipped or faded paint, as well as extensive damage, often calls for a new finish. To do this, remove the original coat of paint with a sander and add either a new coat of paint or a stain to protect the wood below.

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.

There are more pros than cons when staining a deck. Deck stain is more affordable than paint, it protects the wood and allows the natural textures to shine through, and it can revive the appearance of your home. However, deck stain also requires prep work (sometimes days or more), carries more upkeep than a painted deck, and can fade over time if not cared for.
