The personal enjoyment of your property and its natural beauty is the most compelling reason for landscape lighting. It may be only a few moments after dinner, relaxing on the terrace, or strolling the drive, that brings a sense of appreciation and satisfaction that otherwise wouldn't have happened.

"We found NY Landscape Lighting through Angie’s List. We had 2 other proposals for up-lighting our 200’ winding driveway. We prefer to use local businesses whenever possible and Chris’ company had excellent reviews. Chris replied promptly and gave us a clear, well documented proposal. All materials were top quality and after my many questions, it was clear Chris knew this business quite well. Pricing was competitive -not the least or most expensive. The proposal was for a 300W transformer remote smart phone app control for up-lighting 10 driveway trees and converting our driveway entry 120v post lights to low voltage LEDs. His crew of 3 were extremely polite, left everything so clean - didn't look like anything was disrupted. They were very thorough in all aspects… job was completed in 1 day and next day Chris came by to get the wifi interface working with our smartphone. I will definitely use him again – we plan more work in the fall."

"This is high end lighting and expensive, so keep that in mind. I suggest using them for any high end new lighting installations. Mark is also highly creative. The installation team is very good at this!"

"Mike Napoleone was great from day one. I called and left a message asking for an estimate on a Sunday, and he called me first thing Monday morning. He came while I wasn't home to take a look, and called me while he was at the house so I could describe exactly what I wanted done. I had gotten estimates from several other people, and some were asking upward of $9,000 for the same work. Mike and his crew came and got the job done in one day - we have a REALLY big driveway, so I was pleasantly surprised. The work looks great, and I'm thrilled with how everything came out. We had several Belgian blocks along the edge of the driveway that had gotten knocked over by plowing, cars, and landscapers, and he fixed them all at no extra charge. I would highly recommend Mike's work to anyone. Great person, great price, great work!

Exterior Lighting questions, answered by experts

The majority of potential burglars are amateurs looking to make a quick buck after breaking and entering. By installing motion-sensor lights, alarm systems, and security cameras, throughout the home, there’s a good chance you will deter crime on your property.

While most general electricians can repair lamps and light fixtures, it is often better to hire a lamp repair specialist. Many electricians prefer larger jobs, such as fixing electrical systems or relocating fixtures, and may not offer lamp repair services due to the small scale of the work. Additionally, some lamps, particularly antique models, require dedicated expertise that a general electrician might not have. A lamp repair specialist will be familiar with various types of fixtures and can provide a more dedicated service. If you have already hired an electrician for a larger project, you can ask them to look at your lamp, but for a standalone repair, a specialist is typically the best option.

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.

Table lamps, floor lamps, chandeliers, desk lamps, and antique or decorative light fixtures that hold sentimental or aesthetic value are commonly repaired.

Costs depend on system type, issue severity, and labor rates.
