"I contacted Flue Tech to fix the pilot-less feature on my gas logs. I did not use them because I was able to find someone nearer to my location."

"Chimney experts was very professional in both scheduling and the job. Al was very thorough to not only look at the chimney, but also to stay with me until we had fully built a fire and had it burning long enough to run a full test of the appliance. Would highly suggest for inspection and installation- they know the business well."

"The team was very knowledgeable and discussed the options for replacing my boiler flue liner. They took the time to explain how this would help with the efficiency of my boiler. They also explained the benefits of a single wall vs a double."

"Saul did an excellent job. Went above and beyond what we have become used to with other chimney sweeps. He inspected our chimney from the roof down the chimney and liner and also inspected our furnace chimney. And he took pictures of it all. Then explained what we were looking at and how to go about getting it fixed. I definitely reccomend Saul."

"I was very impressed with David's responsiveness and every member of his crew was a pleasure. They completely removed the kitchen floor (and several layers of subfloor) in my 100+ year-old home, made repairs to floor joists and installed new flooring that looks beautiful. It was an evolving project and I appreciated the team's flexibility and speed with which they completed the project."

"I was in the middle of repointing the chimney on our 130 year old house only to find we had no chimney liner! DJ came to the rescue and in a pinch so our masonry contractor could keep going. Not only did he get us in quickly, he was the best price and completed the job properly. I highly recommend DJ for your chimney needs."

"I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I thought I had a relatively simple repair on the exterior of one chimney. Turns out that the linings in both chimneys were cracked and deteriorated badly, including the flue to the furnace. These were replaced and the fireplace interiors were sealed. The Top Notch people are excellent, explained everything carefully and a real pleasure to deal with. The quality of the work couldnâ t be better at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them."

Chimney Liner Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can DIY a pool liner, with careful planning, measuring, adherence to a step-by-step process, and a few helping hands to get the job done. Keep in mind that the type of pool liner you choose could impact how easy it is for you to install. For example, beaded and J-hook liners hook to the edges of the pool either via an allotted bead receiver or hook. Overlap liners don’t use clips and can easily drape across your pool frame without an exact fit.

Routine maintenance for an above-ground pool includes regularly cleaning the pool and its filters, balancing water chemistry by checking chemical levels, and inspecting the pool liner and structural components. This ensures the pool's durability, safety, hygiene, and optimal performance.

The process may involve structural repairs, lining replacement, adding features like heating or lighting, and updating filtration systems.

How long a pool liner lasts depends on the type of pool. Most in-ground pool liners last between six and 12 years, while aboveground pool liners last anywhere from six to 10 years. You can extend the life of your pool liner by maintaining proper pool chemistry, adding chemicals individually to avoid staining the liner, using a pool cover to protect it from the sun, and keeping sharp objects away from it.

Swimming pool repairs are more common than you might think, partially because so many different pool parts can fall into disrepair. Some frequently made swimming pool repairs include:

  • Pool liner leaks

  • Pump and motor failure

  • Burned-out pool lights

  • Clogged pump

  • Skimmer leaks

  • Pool filter leaks

  • Heater failure

  • Pool drain failure
