"After countless estimates and proposals from other contractors, I met with Rich and walked him through the extensive work that had to be done to the foreclosure my husband and I purchased in March of 2014. Rich was the only contractor that came back with a detailed list of all the jobs as well as itemized pricing per job at a very reasonable price. Because of the significant work that had to be done to the house - Rich worked on the house between May 2014-October 2014. (we recently re-hired him to come back and build a wooden walkway for outside the house which he is working on as I type this.) Richs dedication to his craft as well as his solid work ethic impressed many of my neighbors whom contracted him out for their own home projects as well as my parents who hired them to do work on their house. No job is too big or too small for Rich to handle. As long as he has his coffee and water throughout the day - he will work from sun up to sun down! I highly recommend Right Choice Remodel for all of your home improvement needs!

"Yes the work was done. The two guys that came put in 7 windows and two big bay windows in one day. They did not even taken a break. They cleaned up the small pieces of scrap. Then one week later they came back and put in two new doors with the same professionalism when they did my doors."

"My initial impression of the company was positive and remained so throughout the project. He was very thorough with the prices and even suggested certain colors that would flow well with my property. He was always on time and his employees were professional. Thank you Christian! Highly recommend"

"Kris remodeled 2 bathrooms and a living room in a house we were trying to sell. We had no offers before the remodel, and it sold quickly after the work he did. One of the bathrooms was a complete tear-down, replacing the walls, wainscoting, fixtures, floor and everything. He did a very good job, and we never could have sold the house without his work."

The work crew was a joy & as I'm around it makes a difference. Also recently hired again for a major kitchen & porch remodel & wouldn't consider hiring any one else, trustworthy, honest & professional"

Custom Home Builders questions, answered by experts

While some highly experienced homeowners can frame a house independently, it is not advisable. You will need ample carpentry experience, a team of helpers, and professionals to sign off on your work to meet local building codes. For the safest outcome, we recommend buying or building a house with the guidance of professionals.

To get a quote from a builder or general contractor, contact them over the phone or online and explain your project. If you already have house plans drawn up, they’ll need to review them to determine the project's scope before providing you with a quote. Ask for your quote in writing and compare quotes from several pros before choosing the best one for your needs.

Historically, Tudor homes originally stemmed from the 15th and 16th centuries, while Victorians appeared during Queen Victoria's reign in the 19th century. The design and structural differences are significant as well. The many types of Victorian architecture—such as Italianate architecture—typically feature ornate trim, wood siding, wraparound porches, and tall towers on top, such as belvederes. On the other hand, Tudor-style homes feature white stucco exteriors with exposed wooden rafters marking the house frame both inside and out.

The primary reason homes have crawl spaces is so the foundation can reach down below the frost line to avoid dangerous soil movement and structural damage when the ground freezes. They’re more popular in colder climates where the ground freezes down to a few feet, and slabs are most popular in warmer areas where there is no frost line. Crawl spaces also provide a space for utility lines to run where they’re at less of a risk of freezing.

Modular homes last an average of between 50 and 75 years, and high-quality modular homes can last for 100 years with proper maintenance. For comparison, a standard home lasts 50 to 100 years and can push to 150 or longer with good maintenance. Modular homes provide better long-term value in that they are significantly more affordable and can last almost as long, but some buyers are wary of modular home longevity, so the actual value if you sell could be lower.
