"My husband and I highly recommend Jeremy. We had power issues and Jeremy walked us through everything that was going on. He went over the pricing and stuck to it. He is quick to respond to communication. We are very happy with the work he and Austin did to correct and upgrade our electric service. We will definitely be using him for future electricity needs and recommend him highly!"

"Ted and Robert arrived, got right t to it and within a few hours we had 2 ceiling fans installed, one which had no existing light so it was a more involved project. They were professional and stuck to their original quote! To say we are impressed is an understatement. We strongly recommend using Connole Electric."

"I have used Supreme Electric for a variety of electrical services for over 2 years â replacing outlets to support new wall A/C units, replacing a damaged outlet, replacing a light fixture, upgrading my circuit panel and most recently installing a bathroom ventilation fan another electrician said could not be done. I was also provided assistance finding a carpenter to vent the fan out of my attic and I am considering future installation of a generator. Michael is always pleasant, professional and respectful and the quality of work is excellent. He explains exactly what is needed, prices are reasonable, he communicates clearly and promptly as work is being planned and he is always on time for scheduled work. I highly recommend Supreme Electric. It is always a pleasure to work with Michael and I personally will only be using Supreme Electric for any future electrical work I need to have done. Thank you Michael!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Plainville, unexpected costs during electrical projects often arise from discovering outdated wiring, such as knob and tube, or the need to upgrade electrical panels in older homes. Additional expenses may include addressing hazardous materials in pre-1980s properties, utility connection adjustments, or trenching for underground service. Permit fees and charges for multiple inspections or plan revisions can also add to the overall project cost.

Helpful?

Plainville’s seasonal weather can affect electrical projects, especially those involving outdoor or underground work. Frozen ground in winter makes trenching difficult, while spring and fall provide better conditions for exterior installations. Humidity and freeze-thaw cycles in CT mean that proper moisture barriers and weatherproofing are essential for outdoor wiring or basement projects to prevent long-term electrical issues and maintain safety.

Helpful?

Before starting electrical projects in Plainville, confirm which permits and inspections are required for your specific scope of work. After applying for permits, review your neighborhood’s guidelines if you live in a historic district or HOA area, as these often have unique restrictions. Coordinating with your utility provider early and verifying underground utility locations can help you avoid project delays and unexpected issues.

Helpful?

If your Plainville home has frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that feel warm, it’s time to schedule electrical work. Older homes—especially those with fuse boxes, aluminum wiring, or limited outlets—often need upgrades to meet modern safety standards. If you’re relying on extension cords or notice burning smells, a professional evaluation is recommended to ensure your electrical system is up to date.

Helpful?

Combining electrical work with other home upgrades in Plainville is often efficient. For example, if you’re remodeling a kitchen or finishing a basement, running new wiring while walls are open minimizes disruption. Pairing panel upgrades with energy-efficient improvements can also help you qualify for local CT incentives, making the process smoother and potentially reducing the time your home is under construction.
