Small jobs welcome

"Mark provided a very fair cost estimate for the work to be done in painting a two bedroom apartment and kitchen, including closets. All work was complete and professional, with complete covering by the paint, clean edging and clean-up. I live out of state, so he provided updates via video of work done. He was also accommodating in removing medicine cabinet, taking down and replacing curtains. He did the work himself without sending a team of unknown helpers. I highly recommend his service which was professional and trustworthy. Joe"

"We needed to replace a patch of our living room ceiling due to damage from a water leak upstairs. We contacted C&B, who responded and quoted us a price quickly. The price was fair for a multi-day job, they got it done within a week, and they even helped us repaint the ceiling. Very professional, courteous, and trustworthy. We'd strongly recommend!"

"We received estimates from 4 different companies and decided to go with Dimanno painting because they were the only ones to contact us immediately with a quote and continued to follow up to accomodate our schedule. Once they started the job was complete within a day and a half, others said almost a week."

"Extremely well! Troy is very detailed oriented, so he makes sure not to cut corners. Before we found Troy, we had other box store installers refuse to take up the old laminate, while acknowledging the likelihood of bumps and bubbles without pulling up. Troy didn't flinch! He knew it was best to remove the old stuff and start with new sub-flooring, even if it meant the job would be more difficult for him. Troy finished in a timely fashion, and it's beautiful...no bumps or bubbles!"

We lined up 4 companies to give us bids.  3 showed up and I was impressed with the detail that Mark went through the house. He asked a lot of questions around our expectations, what we wanted done and our expectations.  I was left with the feeling that Mark and his team would do a very good job.  We wanted the job done as quickly as possible as we were not going to move into our new house until the painting was done.  Out of the 3 companies, MDF was one of the lower prices. In addition, they clearly outlined the cost of labor and the amount of paint estimated, it was then up to me to pick the quality of paint.  MDF was able to get very high quality paint at a great price.  One week after the proposal, we had our pre-work meeting in which Mark (the owner), the job supervisor and I went through everything.  Not only did we go through the details of the job, they brought samples of the paint colors I picked out and put them up on the wall.  That way I could make sure I was comfortable with the paint colors prior to purchasing all of the paint.  The team then started immediately.  They worked through the weekend and the main two floors were completed in 6 days.  It took one additional day to lay the epoxy down on the basement floor.

The qualify of work was great.  They did a good job repairing all of the nail holes in the walls.  They removed some wallpaper we had up and the newly finished walls look great. The trim was painted expertly.  The crew protected our new carpet and floors.  They cleaned up after themselves.

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

If you’re installing new wallpaper and have leftover glue, you can remove unused wallpaper paste from the bucket or pan it’s in by letting it dry. If it’s an oil-based paste, seal it in a plastic bag and throw it in the garbage. Otherwise, toss the leftover wallpaper paste in the trash. Although it’s water-soluble, don’t rinse unused wallpaper paste down the sink because it could dry in the pipes and cause a blockage.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.

Yes, many companies offer convenient options to accommodate service timing needs.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

It can take a professional anywhere between several hours and a full day to remove wallpaper in one room. How long wallpaper removal takes depends on the type of adhesive, the wallpaper’s age, the condition of the walls, and more.
