"We discovered at the last minute that our new dishwasher needed different under-sink and supply connections. So we searched Angie's list, called TC's after closing, and got a prompt response from Tony. He worked with us to do the job before the installer arrrived, which was a challenge because of the ambiguity of the installer's time window. In any case, Tony and Mike were great and completed their work with hours to spare! We were very pleased by everything they did, grateful for finding them, and will recommend TC's without reservation."

"Danny, from HL Bowman, quickly understood the scope of the installation and used his expertise to make the installation seamless. As a result, the filtration system he installed is now operating perfectly to remove particulates greater the 5 microns from our well water. I would highly recommend HL Bowman for your plumbing needs. "

"Very well for the most part! Only problem with AC split system was with an "elbow" joint that was the wrong size and did not cover wiring upon installation. When I called post-job and asked that the elbow be replaced immediately, the company foreman was out at my home the next morning; he did have the "elbow" replaced with a good-fitting one, and he made it a point to note that customer satisfaction is his top priority. The subcontractors who put in the new electrical panel also were very good, though after leaving they forgot to take some tools (retrieved later), and they forgot to turn back on automatic condenser pump attached to the furnace, which I noticed after some minor leakage had occurred; I fixed that readily by turning back on the pump. However, these were minor issues, and I was VERY SATISFIED with the work overall, and with the courtesy and professionalism of Tyler's crew, and especially with their COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I especially was touched by their concern for the welfare of my family to get these installations complete in a timely manner, so my family members could use the lower level as a guest room, while in town visiting another family member who was severely ill in the hospital. Also, every time I call Tyler as regards their very helpful YEARLY MAINTENANCE contract, I am completely satisfied with their inspection and correction to any Heating/AC issues (especially thanks to Chris, a great workman and courteous professional!) God bless Tyler's Company! In my book, they're the BEST. Sincerely, Deb"

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

Mid-century modern architecture was a popular home style throughout the U.S. from the 1950s to 1970s. Most homes feature a wide and symmetrical floor plan with low-sloped roofs and floor-to-ceiling windows. Its minimalism and balanced appearance are back on the home style scene, particularly when maximizing sunlight, airflow, and a blend with the home's natural surroundings.

The only real drawback to green building is that it’s more expensive up front, with per-square-foot prices sitting 33% higher than what you’d pay to build a traditional home. The higher cost is due to more expensive building materials and more labor to ensure every aspect of the home is as efficient as possible. However, green buildings often save money in the long run, so this is just a temporary downside.

Craftsman houses’ sustained popularity is likely due to their timelessly beautiful design and simplicity. To this day, they hold true to the power of hard work and refined craftsmanship and how that’s all you need to create a beautiful home.

Yes, integrating sustainable practices and energy efficiency into plans is common.
