They were great. Talked to me about the creosote problem I didn't even know my fireplace had and how to prevent it in the future. Apparently you can't burn pizza boxes. Now I know.

Kenedy and Rich were great. They explained what they were going to do and how long it would take and kept a very clean worksite. They also took time to match the replacement bricks and mortar with the rest of the house. Plus they did everything for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be using Rich and John's Chimney Service from now on.

Rich is super professional. Very focused, extremely efficient and informative. Came very quickly as obstruction was blocking flue. Wife Shannon answered my call. Great professional service.

Experienced weather delays but could not be happier. The chimney looks like a work of art. All leaks have stopped. Owners came at the appointed time, inspected the chimney, explained what needed to be done and quoted a reasonable price. Masons were courteous, professional and cleaned up each day.

The next issue is the bracket they use to hold up the tall metal chimney, the screws only hit one rafter, and that screw was not even all the way in, it was 1/2 up, and the rest only went into the plywood so I cut some 2x6 wood to go between the rafters and ask them to please come back and do it right, they said no, so since I also got a new roof, i asked Weathertite to please take care of it, which they did for free of charge

Everything went smoothly. I was given updates regarding their approximate time of arrival and was given an honest assessment of the state of my chimney and did not try to sell me anything I didn’t need. I will absolutely call them next time I need a cleaning or any work completed.

Excellent. When I contacted them they came to inspect my problem the next day. They told me my options and said that they were booked a month out but that they would try to put a crew together for Sunday. The crew came on Sunday, cleared the blockage, put in a liner and cleaned out our 2 fire place flues in just 3 hours, They were knowledgeable, polite, friendly and clean all for a reasonable price I highly recommend their services and will use them again for sure

Rich was really helpful. He explained that I had a lot of creosote in the chimney and how to get rid of it. He wasn't trying to sell anything more than I'd already contracted him for, just trying to keep us safe. I really appreciated that! I will definitely call him again next year for my chimney cleaning. Competent and professional!

Quick and efficient, and they gave me an estimate on work that should be done on the outside chimneys.

Very prompt, explained everything beforehand and answered all of my questions. Cleaned up afterwards, very professional and thorough.

The work was disrupted by both the time of year and 3 nor'easters in particular. Having said that, the on-site was performed exactly as specified, the site was kept clean during the work. The price came in less than what was quoted. Rich came on site initially and prepared the quote, and stayed in contact via phone during the project. Brandon and Kennedy performed the work. Kennedy, the mason, extended our chimney was brick that closely matched the existing brick. In addition, he secured the top of chimney securely so that no water or snow entered the house during 2 nor-easters. In addition, the scaffolding was secured so that nothing became dislodged. R&J Office Manager Lisa kept us informed thoughout the project. We are very satisfied and would use them again. Happy to serve as a referral too.

Rich & John's Chimney came out and identified the problem as old, crumbling bricks and mortar that had been repaired numerous times. The chimney had to be completely rebuilt with new bricks. They also inspected a 2nd chimney on the roof and that, too, had similar problems, so we ended up replacing both chimneys. They gave me a discounted price since I was doing 2 chimneys. They men were professional, efficient and did quality work. I would definitely hire them again.
