M & J Roofing LLCWe hired M&J to install our new roof. We had plenty of companies come out and give us quotes but not as detailed as the M&J quote. The owner came out himself and explained to us in detail what our roof needed. The workers were professional when they were working. In two days we had a new roof. They removed our old one in a day and installed the new one the next day. The workers were all in uniform the whole time they were here. The owner was hands on with the project. Flying Colors Roofing and PaintersI had watched Flying Colors do a neighbor's roof and gutters and was very impressed with the speed and quality of the work. Upon speaking to our neighbors I learned that they have used Flying Colors for their own residence and also several rental properties they own. They spoke extremely highly of Flying Colors. This alone placed them high on my list. I contacted Flying Colors through their web site and had a response from one of their supervisors, Chris, within 24 hours. Chris visited to do an inspection to determine the needs and inspect the roof. While on the roof he made a quick fix to stop a leak we had. Chris provided us an estimate within 24 hours (Saturday) and said he would check back Monday to see if we had questions. The estimate was broken down by roof and gutters. My wife and I had a price in mind and the estimate was below that price. We signed the contract And Chris provided a time frame of 3 to 4 weeks. We were undecided on the exact color so Chris brought out a few samples so we could compare to our current roof color. He suggested that we let him know which color by the following Tuesday or Wednesday. When I gave him the color choice he asked if they could do the roof that Saturday. Early Friday morning the roofing materials arrived and Chris was here to indicate where to place them. Early Saturday morning the entire crew arrived and after draping the house started ripping off the front roof which was nearly completed by the time the dumpster arrived. The crew was comprised of Chris and five highly skilled and motivated craftmen (a 6th came late in the day). I can't say enough about this crew. They were polite, hard workers and highly skilled. Five sheets of plywood were used. One sheet to allow removal of a stove pipe that was no longer needed. Three sheets to replace a damaged area that occasionally leaked and one sheet to replace some other damage. All new and existing plywood was re-nailed prior to ice water shield and synthetic underlayment being applied. The crew managed to finish and clean up just before dark. They really put in a super human effort to complete the roof in a single day. Monday the dumpster was removed and the gutter crew arrived in the afternoon. This was a two person crew who were also polite and highly skilled craftmen. They worked hard finishing after dark with the aid of our outside lighting. Chris came by on Wednesday to check and inspect all work. He will be back at least once more to do an additional check and take care of one small item. I would highly recommend Flying Colors Roofing. The use top of the line materials, pay attention to details and are polite, highly skilled and professional from first contact to final review of work.- William Z.

Flying Colors Roofing and PaintersFANTASTIC....I am so thrilled with Stephen and his crew! From the moment I spoke with Stephen he was prompt with the proposal and scheduling of this project. He spend detailed time with me choosing the right color and type of shingles for my house, so professional and honest. He discussed what he would be doing and the time frame for each step and touched base with me every day during the project. They showed up at time and completed the job within the time frame scheduled. My home looks brand new and I am getting so many compliments! I love it! The entire staff was respectful of my home and privacy as they worked on the roof. The cleanup was done each day and we never had to pick up a thing in the yard after the project, nothing left behind! M & J Roofing LLCLouie Ibraimovski and his workers did a fantastic and thorough job at our home in Kent, Connecticut. Our old roof had begun to leak in several spots here and there, and it was time to replace it. This area receives heavy snow in the winter, up to two feet or so during the worse storms, so the roof gets a lot of wear and tear. Mr. Ibraimovski was one of three bids we solicited from different roofers, and his was in line with one other bid. The third bid was 25 percent higher, even when using the same shingles. Our roof has many dormers and different levels. Also, our home is large, with two floors and an attached garage, which also has the same roof as the main house. Once we signed a contract, it took M&J Roofing roughly four weeks to order the shingles and start on the project. At every point, Mr. Ibraimovski kept me informed and was a thorough professional. He is easy going and precise, and I enjoyed interacting with him. Once they started working on our roof, the entire job, a big one, was done in about six days. And the results were stunning! Every thing was done exactly as I expected. I checked the different roof lines and new tiles with binoculars and through windows on the second floor. Really, a first-class job. I would not hesitate to use M&J Roofing again. After the job was done, I noticed that the metal screens which I had on gutters were not there anymore. I talked to Mr. Ibraimovski, and that day he had a crew come back and install new metal screens on the gutters (at no extra charge), which of course were perfect. He is a meticulous contractor, exactly the kind you would want on the job.- Laura D.

Weathertite was very patient and accommodating while I negotiated with my insurance company. They were nice enough to complete half the job to make my house weather tight. Then come back to finish the job several months later once I was through with the insurance company. Each time their work was fast, efficient and, most important, of very high quality. Their clean up was immaculate. When they left except for the new roof, you would never have known they had been there.

Steve and his crew were hired to completely gut and remodel two full bathrooms. For one bathroom, we got rid of an alcove tub and replaced with a tub and walk in shower, so a decent amount of new plumbing was required. We had gotten a few estimates and his came in higher than one contractor’s who we weren’t sure about, and right in line with another shop we were considering. Both of the “higher” estimates were right in line with regional averages for the work we were asking for. In the end, I think we got a total bargain! We’ve been through/overseen other (sometimes large) renovations, with many subcontractors and moving parts, and out of all of them, Steve was the best. He is very laid back but knowledgeable and thoughtful about offering his expertise and opinions to make the project flow better or cost less, and he didn’t mind taking the time to chat to figure things out we hadn’t thought through. He was also just as comfortable when we wanted things a certain way or requested changes. He went the extra mile if needed and his whole crew were the same way. There was no drama whatsoever and lots of little things they did were simply absorbed into the amount already agreed upon. Al, Ron, Ralph, and the rest of the crew were all friendly, skilled and efficient. And with Covid, they masked up and we really appreciated it. Lastly, as a woman who happened to be the point person and decision maker for this project, I can’t tell you how much I appreciated the simple respect for my point of view, experience and opinions. From everybody. This has not always been the case in the past, and I think it’s so worth giving a shout out for. Thanks, Steve and crew!
