Customers say: True professional

"Franco was very quick to respond. He was able to get our job scheduled within the same week. He performed some mortar repointing, repair of cracked brick, a new concrete cap, natural gas log install, chimney sweep, and damper lubrication. Very trustworthy, went above and beyond to help oversee a delivery that arrived while i was out of the house."

"I contacted the home office for an appointment on Monday this week, and they got me on the schedule for the upcoming Friday morning. The email and text response about the appointment that i set was excellent. The technician notified me he was on the way and promptly arrived at 8am. His name is Greg, and he is very knowledgeable about boilers and his craft. He was able to correctly identify our immediate trouble and let me know he could have the unit back up and running the same day. He also let me know about other details that should be upgraded. So, we are very happy that Greg came to our home and checked out the boiler. We will be very happy to have them back in the future."

"I had a plugged up drain in my basement and they took care of it. I was very pleased not only at the work but their work ethic. They gave me a 4 hour window and they showed up at the beginning of it. I would use them again for sure."

"Herb was prompt, professional and efficient. He came out because of a pounding in our extractor pump. he solved that problem and replaced all parts as needed, then he ended up fixing the too high-water pressure, installed 3 toilets and 3 faucets, a gas line for a range, fixed a bathtub that had not worked for 16 years, answered all our questions and cleaned as he went. Herb was a pleasure to work with, I just found a plumber for life :) Thank You Herb! His prices were quite reasonable, he is honest and has integrity. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HERB AND 970 PLUMBING!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

DIY is not recommended due to safety concerns. Professional installation ensures proper connections and compliance with codes.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease
