Small jobs welcome

"Paula came out to give us an estimate and compared to 3 other local companies their price was the lowest. The hardwood floor refinish that Alex did was very professional. Our home is 17 years old and some hardwood areas had to be replaced too. Everything blends and looks as good as new. A BIG thanks to them!"

Customers say: Quality work

"I can't say enough good things about Lee's Floor Service! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Every step along the way went smooth. Dawn was extremely helpful and very responsive every time I had questions. Sam has a great vision and eye for details which was apparent when we got an estimate done, and that was a huge reason why we went with Lee's. He custom mixed our stain, which made our floors turn out exactly how we wanted them, not just close. Joe and Candice were amazing, they did such a spectacular job installing the floors, very friendly, professional, and you can tell they take pride in their work. We had a second layer of tile in one area that they discovered, and when they told us they also came with a solution to fix the gap we'd have at the fireplace due to the thickness of the second layer. I always love when someone comes with a solution when they tell you of an unforseen issue. The sanding and staining crew did a fantastic job finishing the floors into the beautiful final product. There were no surprises on the final invoice. It was a pleasure working with everyone!!! Highly recommend Lee's, well worth every penny!"

"I wouldn't call anyone but Warren. I used his services last time. He gave me options on how to fill in around my wall that not only looked better, but saved me quite a bit of money. He was also incredibly patient as I was trying to choose stain colors! It is a big decision! My floor looks spectacular. He and his crew are patient, kind and really do an amazing job."

"Extremely well. The schedule for the work was reasonable and each step of that schedule was completed in a timely manner. Materials were delivered as scheduled and carefully placed in my home. Baseboard molding and bannister spindles were removed, marked for identification and stored. The new flooring was installed and sanded. Todd expertly helped in the choice of stain color. When the finishing steps were completed and the molding and spindles replaced, the result was fantastic! The workmanship is top notch and the house looks terrific. I will not hesitate to use Juxtaposition Hardwood for any future flooring needs."

"Had our old and stained wood floors refinished and they look fantastic! Alvaro and his guys did an amazing job sanding out 90 yrs worth of stains and damage and bringing our floor back to just like new condition. They were very professional throughout the 2 days onsite and kept everything clean and dust free, and also were very nice people to deal with. The price was also very good, especially for the high quality of work they performed. Couldn't be happier, thanks guys!"

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

It is almost always necessary to hire a land surveyor near you to ensure your fence sits on the right side of the property line. Mistaking the shape of your property can lead to fines and costly changes if you have to move or adjust the privacy fence—not to mention some surly looks from your neighbor. We recommend jumpstarting your fence planning in the spring to ensure there is plenty of time to map out your plan before construction season.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.
